I always had the impression that the trade up to 12 was originally for Windsor. As draft night grew closer, it became apparent he wasn’t going to make it that far so we had to take him at 7. I also think we wanted to throw the kitchen sink at Harley Reid and probably thought getting up to 12 would be a juicier proposition for West Coast combined with all our other picks. So I’m only guessing, but I doubt Tholstrup was really a ‘target’ and just the way the cards fell in the end unfortunately
