Name one footballer who would have done what Gus did differently, you wont find one. Name one organization who would have done things differently to the AFL, Everyone except maybe Qantas.
Some total rubbish being posted on here Macca. Gus hit the forward on the chest with the kick only Roo did not hold it. AFL were going to release reasons for not Appealing yesterday, they still haven't. Lets face it the lack of action of what happened at Port a few weeks ago tells what the AFL really think about player welfare. Bring on the lawsuits.
I really like the lack of "outside" response from the club. Plenty of time to fight this after we are done for the year. Keep it in house and use it.

The AFL only had to read the finding as released last night to find at least a dozen reason to appeal. They choose not to because they did not want to.

How you could read those finding "especially the bit about Gus at fault" and not appeal is staggering. Bring on the lawsuits.

My understanding is an Appeal had to be in by 12 midday. So looks like the AFL have let it slide.
If Gus had not moved he would have been hit right down the middle, that could only have made it much much worse.
Might be time to let this go and concentrate on Friday night. But I do have another point. The line about Gus should have changed direction, are you not taught that you must follow though when you kick or the ball will go in a different line.
Wonder if they appeal that and get the other week taken off as well.
