To the AFL ‘Browbeating’ Media — It’s time to fight back!
Monbon replied to Tolstoys Nudge's topic in Melbourne Demons
The joke is that most Western people are Media sheep who believe only they are being told the truth. Most sheople I know have no idea they are being lied to. -

Yours in Tolstoy, Dostoevsky, Gogol, Chekov, Pushkin, Gorky and Turgenev. I agree 100% with your thoughts and ambitions re the circus called The Media. In a nutshell, it simply mirrors what Western media stands for - lies, manipulation, and downright Fantasyland make-believe. I doubt that the mental midgets who delight in tormenting certain clubs and treat others on bended knees will make any difference. Even clowns and what they call in Polish, Dupas, have to eat and pay the rent stay alive by augmenting the first bit of garbage that enters their tiny minds. Regards. -
Just watched the replay. What a great game. No spite - I felt the urge to burst into tears when the Brisbane player helped a Geelong player get back to his feet, but that's the kind of fella I am, maybe I read too much Hannah Arendt - and could not get over that - unlike a Collingwood game - players did not set out a la Maynard to maim other players.

Nearly had a heart attack: read 'resigned', then realized you meant 're-signed'. Solecisms can kill, you know! Like you, I find some of the comments on this topic reside in a looney bin. Love your stuff...

Pot calls Kettle Black: so it isn't hindsight that calls Hawthorn and Geelong clever trading? Cranky, I've hardly ever agreed with you, and pwobabwy never will.

How the hell does a 'List manager' impact on a team's performance??? The role is to choose the best of what's available. In that category, you win some, you lose some. Hindsight is such a 'virtue' on Demonland, all the naysayers are typical armchair experts. As if two other clubs weren't sucked in by Scache, as though Lamb is to blame for his inability to impact vigorously. More importantly, how can one blame the impacts of injury this year and late last year - forward line decimation - on the List managers and Goodwin? I know how: check out Demonland, all Coaching and List management experts - just ask them.

According to the logic ( sic ) of some on this site, I make the following observations: 1: Hawthorn's year was a total failure. They failed to even make a Prelim. Their kicking for goal - Sicily's shot - is as bad as Melbourne's in their narrow Finals losses last year. There is internal strife at Hawthorn: one of their players goes to the pub before a Finals Match. The Coach must go. 2: GWS had another total failure year - they didn't even make a Prelim. The players are selfish and don't trust each other - the fatal kick off the ground when Hogan had a Free Kick owing. The Coach must go: the players dislike each other.

Does the club need a full and external review?

Sacre Blue: you get around, Il Signor Dante. And you had time to write The Divine Comedy AND The Inferno!!! -
The leeches never let go, do they.

Maynard, Pickett, Christian and justice and fairness.

Sorry, man, it is not an 'obsession' over Maynard, it is simply stating a fact that there is one rule for Collingwood players, another for the rest of the competition. -

What Pickett did! Alleluia, is all I can say, he's such a bad mayne.... -
Just came across some YOUTUBE Maynard 'Highlights', my favorite being the Suns Match earlier this year where he received a shove in the chest and 'fell' holding his head. Um, what this piece of E Coli Excrement gets away with match, match out, is unbelievable, and always sanctioned by the Mister Christian himself. In the meantime, Pickett runs into an E Coli Wobbler who has dived at his feet and, hey presto, that's 3 weeks. I hate the AFL more every day. And everything it stands for, including the leeches and cockroaches known as the Footy Media.

I've met your type. Say no more. Must be good to wake up every morning so certain that once again, you are right.

' and I point out that neither Tracc nor MFC have come out for weeks to say it isn’t true or challenged the veracity of any claims, despite being one of the biggest stories of the last few years' Pert, Roffey, and Goodwin have all denied it all along. Sorry to quote the horse's mouth...Nobody in the press asked Petracca to confirm or deny.
-
So you believe everything the Footy Media writes or sprouts? Gulliver's Travels, where is thine sting?????
-
GATOR hit the nail on the head many moons on this post ago. Namely that Petracca is going nowhere... Have all the EXPERTS on this site ever considered that this whole Farrago IS A MEDIA CAN OF WORMS? Most Demonlanders fell hook line and sinker that the pwobwem ( sic) is the MFC. I have read with total disbelief that there are still posters who believe the media mendacity memes for which Western Media is infamous, who still believe Petracca and the MFC are the issue. How many times does the frigging Footy Meida have to prove to you that most are a bunch of pampered winkers, ex-players who bear their inherent biases, and clowns like Morris who has pwobabwy never played a game of footy in his pampered life.

Just skimming the article, but one glaring aspect stands out: the so-called 'Tribunal' accepts that a player is within the rules to dive at the ball, even if the player diving takes out the legs of the opposition player who, in this case, was clearly 'going for the ball' in an upright position - um, the position I assume most 'football' rules are premised on. In other words, to dive at the feet of someone going for the ball seems to be okay by this 'Court of Law, especially if the diving player wears a black and white striped guernsey.

To both. AFL is a tough gig these days. Talent alone doesn't necassarily get you very far.
-
Which? An alte kaker, a genius or both?
-
You, on the other hand, must be a Genius: why you know Vagg and Tunbridge are alte kakers.
