2026 Pass Mark
And a heck of a loss he is. 20 goals a year, plenty of scoring assists and other on field stuff that only a few in the league are capable of. Bowey will also be sadly missed for most of the year and McVee will typically have a bounce back year after an atrocious 2025. I’m not ruling out a 10 to 12 win season, but I think it’s far more likely we’re around the 4 to 6 mark.

2026 Pass Mark
I think our midfield is one of worst in the league when you consider that a 32 year old Viney is now our ‘premier’ midfielder, and even he’s in doubt for round 1. Just compare our midfield with Gold Coast for a second - it’s actually humiliating. I doubt we’ll win more than 3 games this year, with 5 wins being my satisfactory pass mark. If you have a poor midfield, you don’t win AFL games.

Farewell Clayton Oliver
We were never a chance to win the game after our slow start. To think otherwise is Disneyland stuff. Collingwood were far the better side that night aside from the last few minutes and richly and heartily deserved that win.

2026 AFL Fixture
My hopes and dreams of the 2026 fixture is to get rid of the Alice Springs game: 1) the venue is a dump and non AFL standard. 2) 2) we play atrocious football there. 3) our goal kicking conversion is an absolute disgrace. 4) for the last 2 seasons this fixture has effectively killed off our season. For those with a good footy memory, we went into this years Alice Springs game against St Kilda with a 4-1 record from our previous 5 and the season well and truly alive. Instead of a near certain MCG win, we travelled up to Alice complete lifeless and complacent and ended up disgracing oursleves with a 7.21 effort and then proceeded to win 2 more games for the year. Get rid of this dump of a fixture p

Reportedly won’t be offered another contract with a Collingwood. Could be a viable back up for Max?

AFLW: Rd 05 vs Port Adelaide
I’m genuinely gutted and heart broken after that one.

Time to go Goody?
If the club doesn’t sack him on Monday after yet another garbage loss to a mediocre side in St Kilda, then I’m convinced the MFC board is having a lend and a laugh on all of our accounts. How the sycophants on this forum defend Simon is completely incomprehensible and quite frankly the definition of insanity.

WERRIDEE’S Rolling Squads
The loss of Kozzie in the first 3 weeks will absolutely cost us a win and potentially a subsequent finals birth if we’re around the fringes. He’s our MVP in my opinion. He’s the bloke that can light a spark if we’re down by 15 points in the third quarter. Our forward line looks completely impotent on paper without him.

Time to go Goody?
What’s the pass mark for SG next year in terms of wins in order to see out his contract for 2026? We’re all mature annd smart enough football followers to understand that coaches have been getting sacked a year before their contract expires since Adam was a young lad. I understand and am very sensitive to the fact that many posters here love the coach dearly and would be heart broken if he were to ever be removed. However I have grave fears for SG if we don’t improve next year.

Time to go Goody?
Sounds about right. If you interviewed 100 Melbourne supporters walking out of the G after the last Pies game, I reckon 75-80 would be happy to see the back of him.

Dees Could Become ‘One of the Worst One-Hit Wonders’
If there’s going to be a one hit wonder, it’s clearly going to be the MFC. Sure enough we win a premiership away from our heartland in a year where we absolutely stood up as a club, thus denying the majority of members the experience of a lifetime. Watching a premiership in a draconian lockdown with sub standard Channel 7 commentary ain’t nothing on what Bulldogs and Richmond supporters got to experience in 2016 and 2017 respectively. I reckon a lot of today’s angst stems from Victorian, NSW, ACT and QLD based member missing the experience of a life time and they’re concerned they might never see a flag in attendance at the MCG, or at least share the experience with family and friends in a suitable environment.

Forward Line & Backup Ruck Issues Going into 2024 and beyond ...
I can smell a 7.16 kind of scoreline for round 0.

Forward Line & Backup Ruck Issues Going into 2024 and beyond ...
I don’t know where we go if Gawn goes down. Verrall and Farris-White are projects while Fullerton could be out for half the season (if tendon) and even if he didn’t get injured yesterday, would you be feeling bullish going into a game with him as the No 1 ruck? I understand the reasons why we traded him, he’s too good to be an insurance policy, but at the end of the day we’ve just facilitated a top 4 rival with a first class ruckman.
