On insider trading on AFL.com they are reporting that Dylan Stephens has put off contract talks and is out of contract at the end of the year. Was a pick 5 in the draft a few years back and is a great runner with a great tank. Maybe one to keep an eye on at the end of the year?

Bowey isn’t even listed as an emergency even though he has been cleared to play. Do we think he comes back through the 2s or are they just thinking he’s not best 26?

Joel Freijah and Darcy Wilson (both mainly wingers but also play a bit inside and up forward) are 2 guys that I'm really interested in watching today. We've gone pretty heavy with KPPs in the last couple of drafts (JVR, Jefferson, Adams, Verrall and then picking up both the Turner's as rookies / pre-season selections) so potentially some strong running power might be something to look for in the upcoming one, especially if we keep both 1st rounders

With the Kozzie comment, can you elaborate? Did you mean Goody expected more from him because he wasn't up to expectations or do you mean that Goody is expecting and pushing Kozzie to achieve big things this year?

Not sure how many rookie spots we have open and not sure wether he has nominated or not, but I think we should really consider picking up Corey Ellison from the Casey Demons as a rookie prospect. He is a true swingman that can add some key position depth I think we need. He played mainly defence this year and did a pretty good job as a key defender but I also vividly remember him being swung forward for a couple of games and kicking multiple goals and taking some strong marks. I think it's likely, or at least a strong possibility, that we draft a tall early in the national draft but they will likely need some time to develop. Ellison has a bigger body and I think would contribute if he got a chance at either end of the field. Thoughts?

What do people think of Hustwaite? 13 might be a bit early for him but he's a tall (194cm) midfielder that can also play defence that i think could add a bit of class to our list and midfield with his decision making, composure and ball use. I've seen a couple of people link him to a Scott Pendlebury type and could help a lot with our inside 50 use.

I saw they let go of Jarrod Brander as well. He was one I wanted us to look at last year. Tall, athletic, can play wing or forward and has a bigger body then a lot of the forwards we have at the moment.

Don't think I have seen anyone mention this yet but what about Jordon into the guts? He played in the middle last year and is regarded as one of the best tacklers in the club. Our pressure is something that I think we need to work on and JJ's tackling pressure is a good place to start. That would mean Melksham up on the wing were I think his ball handling skills could be put to good use. He's one of the players I can actually see hitting a target inside 50

Hey everyone, Pretty sure Nathan Jones is playing for the Portarlington demons today for the Carlton draft. If anyone is going to watch or has any information feel free to share as I'd like to know how he goes

What about, if Langdon doesn’t get up, pushing Neal-Bullen up onto the wing. He is one of the best runners in the team and probably the closest tank to Langdon. He has the defensive and offensive mindset and though he hasn’t been scoring many goals this year, he is way up in score involvements and goal assists which I still think he could get from a wing role. I’ve also seen him play up through the midfield a bit more recently so I think even more midfield/wing minutes might be good for him. It would mean then that a Bedford or a Laurie probably come into the team to fill Nibbler’s role and we think that Bedford is probably next in line anyway. Just a thought, what do you guys think?
