Hence my comment about Mr Bontempelli. Complete opposite to what Petracca is doing. I have no doubt Bont could've played for a "big" club, instead he'll finish his career as a Bulldogs legend and Brownlow medallist.

Yeah he was very vocal on the radio, since 2023. We may not be the biggest club but by no means we are small. I can see him leaving St Kilda ala Luke Jackson, if the Saints had done the right thing and taken him in the 2015 draft.

The Oliver thing? Got to be kidding, did he expected the club to trade the other 7 year - 1 million player basically for a bag of chips? How inept would the club be to do that?

What else is the club supposed to do? They have publicly addressed they will get better and support Petracca with his return to competitive footy. To me it sounds like he's just using this situation as an excuse. There must be other things behind closed doors that we are not privy to. He used to be BFF with Clayton, but what transpired last year and last off season? Could that be a factor in all of this?

I was so adamant in 2022, we should've pursued him when he was still negotiating with Carlton. This was even more evident if the club knew Jackson was leaving.

Did I single myself? No, I spoke broadly about the supporter base and the club.

Loyalty should be paramount. The club showed that when they committed to 7 years and 1 million. If loyalty is no longer there, by all means he can leave. I'd much prefer transparency, I think that's the least we should get from him. My only hope is that he doesn't end up playing for the filth. That would bring him down, to me at least, to almost the level of a T$.

One thing is still baffling to me. That of all people Petracca is the one that created this whole chaos. As much as I was one harsh critic of his footy, I always felt that he was at the level of Max, JV in terms of commitment and leadership inside the club. If this all happened because of that KB game and the aftermath, that doesn't sit well with me. Why does he feel the need to punish the club (and supporters as a byproduct)?

Alternatively, there was a player from the NRL that made the move to the AFL. Could we see Petracca playing at the Melbourne Storm? 😅

Surprisingly our 24 - 28 is where I have more doubts. U24 is a great group of players!

But it was true last off season. Now with one more year of development for JVR and the surprising form of Disco, things look different. We can't be that desperate to just have retired BBB and now bring someone who is as close as cooked as BBB was.
