He is just a confidence player, once he goes down a spiral of negative games he can't get out of it.

To motivate his players, he is staying on the bench the whole game, meaning he is not doing the tactical stuff upstairs but rather his primary job is to motivate the group. Clearly he doesn't achieve anything.
