Not sure, the FD has to do their job. For all the great recruiting and drafting they have delivered the last 6 or 7 years, the glaring pitfall has been getting a solid KPF (BBB was unfortunately a one year wonder, a very good one for that).
There's no way you call that high tackle, unless you are inventing or you are incompetent.
The golden rule of any officiating is that if unsure don't blow the whistle.
Wouldn't it be better to take the Hawthorn or Richmond approach? maximize a great list, win as many flags as possible. Then rebuild for the next iteration, however long it takes (5 or 6 years).
