Im looking forward to jamming it right up the cardboard cut outs round 22
As long as the umpires don't intervene we should be fine

The brown baggers are really feral and entitled.
And all this time I thought the Pies or Tigers mobs were worse!

Re your QB ticket question in the 'Fixture' thread. Yes, the QB game is a replacement for the Alice game. Yes you can walk up to the G and get in as a GA entry.
The club sent an email to members on Monday which said:
If you’d like to reserve your seat for a discounted price, you can enter your barcode into the box provided on Ticketek to upgrade. You can also purchase guest tickets and access up to 10 tickets in one transaction.
Round 12-15 ticket on sale details below.
Members - Tuesday 17th May 2:00pm
General Public - Wednesday 18th May 11:00am
YOUR BARCODE(S)
......................................
Alternatively, simply scan your membership card like you would at any home game and you will be granted general admission access subject to availability.
Thanks for the help!
I understand we can just rock up on the day to the G, however I am not so clear on the "scan membership".
Does it mean that I should see my GA tickets in my mobile membership?
Now that we no longer use the physical card we can't truly just scan and walk-in.

There is a tickets thread where this is probabaly more appropriate.
But, do remember that QB is an away game this year.
So if you have home and away access you'll be able to scan in and sit in GA by using the ticket that becomes avalibale 72 hours before the game in the app.
I only have home access, however I understand the QB is a replacement game for the Alice Springs one.

Disgraceful fixturing. Short break coming off an interstate game against Geelong then again coming off a game in NT against the Dogs. It’s like the AFL needs to keep looking after their darlings.
Absolute joke nThey want to make sure the cats get the best chances to beat us. They'll need as many wins as possible to even make the 8 😂

D'Landers, off-topic here. For QBday, can I just walk-in to the MCG on the day? But apparently I need my membership barcode, where's that barcode? We don't get one in the new mobile membership.

For the signing of Charlie Spargo for 3 more years. Signed up until his RFA year. Love Charlie!
Only 3 premiership players OOC this year to sign up: Brayshaw, Hunt, Jackson.
I so wish Hunt gets another contract or if not goes as a Premiership player.
Laurie would be the only other OOC player (excl Rookies) that looks certain to get another contract. Chandler will be upgraded to the Seniors list.
Can we have a line of sight of the cap space?
It would be good to see if we are going over the space or close to in the coming years.

When was the last time we played this poorly against good teams?
Our FWD 50 game still a real concern, that's the most worrying thing. I hoped our forward línea would take today's opportunity to tweak their game and gain confidence

This really feels like a loss. Few head wobblers running around today
Spot on mate, we were supposed to send a clear message today to the rest of the comp that no one is near us but instead we look poor against poop competition (WCE is really poop)

One of those goal kicking yips days.
Way too many of those days so far for my liking. Really need to sort this up and demand Fritsch to stop being MIA for 80% of the matches.

Disgraceful but expected form those Muppets. You should respect that a player belongs to a team and they play for that team, not to f-ing show off for the soon to be wooden Spooners

I hope this year we take the opportunity and deliver the win for Neale. He deserves it.

Um Clarry Choo Choo??? Mate if I played with him I would be SOOOOOO INSPIRED, I would willingly climb over broken glass with him and then share that Large as life grin that he enables with his teammates that definately show Love Empathy and Genuine care and concern for those around him as an "On Field" GENERAL! Sign me up Son!!!!
Clayton is definitely a very special player, however he doesn't seem one of the most vocal from the group.
He can definitely lead with his relentless commitment to the contest and footy proes.

Case in point : Port Adelaide
Finished 2nd at the end of home and away season. Only beat one other top 8 side all year and that was the Dogs in rd 23 by 2 points. Beat Geelong in their QF, had week 2 off then got the dates wrong for their prelim only arriving at the ground with 12 minutes to go in the last qtr.
I forgot to add Port did beat several top 8 teams, however only one top 4 (Bulldogs). I think you may have thought of the Bombers who I believe didn't beat any top 8 team and still made Finals.

But what about the strength of their fixture that season? It may well be that they weren't capable of winning those high profile games during the H&A, but that doesn't mean they didn't earn the home prelim.
I guess my point was more about Geelong could potentially reach top 4 spot because of the weakness of their fixture, not because they deserve it i.e. winning against Melbourne, Brisbane or Freo.

We’ve supposedly been given an easy fixture up to this point, it’s something I noticed some interstate fans complain about, but I bet you most if given our fixture preseason would’ve said it’s a tricky draw. It’s hard to know these things in advance and it’s one of the biggest issues with the AFL fixturing process. It’s never even, and in some years it’s downright cheating by the AFL. Best example is certain *cough* “big teams” never travel down the highway to KP.
It’s BS, either every home game is there, or each team gets sent there on a rotational basis.
We haven't beaten anyone above us since Round 1 last year! 😂
It's not our fault that we stay top of the ladder.
Surely there are some obscure things behind these BS fixtures,or the AFL is just inept.

Yes that's a soft fixture for Geelong but if there was ever a year where we were going to get a tough fixture it's after a flag.
I get that and I am all for it as it should be.
However I still think it is unfair and nonsensical to give two games against last year's wooden Spooner to any team finishing top 4, I would go as far as to say that none of the top 8 should get that "benefit".

Back in 2021 when the fixture was ... err, fixed ... West Coast were a team that had just finished ninth.
Nobody knew back then that they would be the dumpster fire that has eventuated in 2022.
This, of course, does not explain why Geelong get to play North Melbourne twice.
That's understandable but surely the AFL can see how a team is trending. After 2018 the Weagles have spireled down the ladder. But again I do agree that West Coast finished 9th so a borderline finals team based on that performance.

Just heard on the radio that the Cats are playing both North and West Coast twice! 4 easy wins there for the geriatric cats.
Do we know if there is any other team from last year's top 4 with such and advantage?
I understand West Coast was competitive last year, but why do you give 2 games against the wooden spoon to any of the top 4?

What I want to see this week more than anything else is Wet Toast being kept to 3-4 goals max. whilst we rack up 18-20 ourselves .
We need to boost the % to the max while we have the chance !!!
I think our fwd line still needs some tweaking (i.e. can be improved) Surely they benefit of the next two games to gain more confidence and build up momentum.
