Agreed, you can't ask for more than that. The AFL has followed through on it's clamp down on payments outside the cap. I think it's good. In a couple of years it'll be "Phil Scully delisted to ease GWS salary cap pressure". -
Yes, I just want to balance against the argument "we already have Liam so we're set to accommodate Manson" it doesn't work like that and in fact may work the other way. IMO he'd need to be even better than Liam to consider.

Hopefully that R13 game v GWS is at the MCG and not Etihad. See we've got the bye the week before in R12 - following QBW v Collingwood. That means no bye following Darwin.

That's a Fox Sports page - maybe the games not denoted "Fox Sports" are FTA on 7? Maybe different games into different markets where the times clash? Maybe on 7-two? Anyway ours are all on Fox Sports Or maybe you're right and those games are just not on TV

There's a finite amount of player welfare resource, we're already committed to spending some of it in some concentrated areas, if we were to recruit Manson we'd need to look closely at the cost-benefit. We've already taken Jurrah and we have Sylvia, Wonnaeamirri and others who for a great variety of reasons use up more of these finite these resources than other players. Some may argue that because we have Jurrah we're better placed for Manson and to some extent that is true because we have a good idea of what is involved, on the other hand - we have a good idea of what is involved. If Manson is worth the cost because of his high benefit then go ahead.

Richmond are the biggest threat.

New format - 3 pre-fixtured rounds, 1st round triangular, rounds 2 & 3 standard, pre-season ladder, top 2 teams after 3 rounds play off in GF, other teams to be fixtured http://media.foxsports.com.au/images/2012-NAB-Cup-Fixture.pdf

By Bill Hartley and Bob Hogg?

A framework or massive welfare effort at the expense of every other player on the list?

Hardest gig in football - small forward in a tight Grand Final. Leon was great this year back and was OK in the GF. I don't think we should recruit him becaiuse of his age and I think he should endf up at Freo or WC. Surprising that the Pies couldn't get a trade done when their 1st pick is 50.

He's no Paul Chapman.

I think we might have enough "extra management" going on already
-
If it was only about football coaching ...
-
There's scarce resources at our football club. Players that require extra management require extra management. There's a cost and we're already paying it in a couple of cases.

I'd rather cut Macdonald than Wonnaeamirri if Wonna shows up on 31 October in reasonable shape.

Who killed Bambi? Seems to lack the tricks to play in the forward line, not strong overhead and lacks speed and agility to play a crumbing role - I can't see a future for him there even as a defensive forward. He is a good kick and I see him in the backline if he can make the cut. He's over-rated because we've had a lack of hard big bodied draftees. He hasn't had a pre-season yet so it will be interesting to see what he can do on the back of proper preparation. Will be ecstatic to be proven wrong and for the love here to be justified.

Manage ignore prefs

Sylvia - serial offending chronic under-performer. I don't think selection in the Australian squad benefits him, it just goes to his head - he needs to understand what he's done.

I'm stating the obvious - but plan A has key man risk. I think this has been borne out in the last 2 years. I haven't seen any real discussion of this - but Dane Swan has failed in the GFs. He was touched up by Farren Ray in the drawn GF and IMO if St.Kilda had won that game this would have been the major factor along with Pendlebury's failure thru gastro and Hayes and Goddard firing. The midfield stars were up on the underdog and down on the favourite. Swan just went in the replay and it was Pendlebury who did the heavy lifting. This year Pendlebury and Thomas couldn't have done any more but Ling squashed the allegedly untaggable Swan and he was way below par. If Swan had his standard output, particularly when Collingwood had momentum in the middle of the 2nd we'd be looking at Pies back-to-back. Swan has fired in other big games though - most recently in the PF v the Hawks. I'm not saying this is a case for plan B, in fact I like plan A - if your star fires.

It comes after the non-finalists - that's 10 teams from 2012 onwards: http://www.afl.com.au/tabid/208/default.aspx?newsid=123360 FFS, why make a correction that is so patently wrong when 2 minutes of investigation could uncover this? It's just as bad as "whose pick is the pick after?"
