Was Jack Watts ever NOT called "Number 1 Draft Pick"? - even when he was at Port Adelaide they reeled that one out. I guess that's partially on him because he never did anything to make a name for himself apart from be a high pick.

Salem should earn his way back through the VFL at this point. 2021 was a long time ago now, and he hasn't played too well in over a year (not his fault - but true all the same).

That performance was a bee's you know what from being a much bigger smashing. Can't complain with the start we've had, and I was particularly happy with McVee, Sparrow, Viney, and Rivers - not to mention Brodie Grundy who is such a luxury to have with Max out.

Pickett could have had a monster day, 2.5 with all 5 of the misses being very close and very gettable.

We've left about 3 goals on the table here late, not to mention 5 goals from Kozzie. Hope it doesn't come back to bite us later in the year.

Grundy the only one on the move at stoppage, and he's the ruckman.

We are so static at every stoppage, and it's playing into West Coast's plan to neutralise our midfield contest game. Should really change that up but we won't.

On the positive side, Jack Viney has been so much better this week. I was a bit worried about Viney after his return from injury but he has been one of our best today.

I reckon umpire 9 has recalled the centre bounce about 5 times today. As BT says, get the good bouncers in the middle.

If he'd gone back and taken the set shot THAT would have been a certain screw up.
