It was an ugly game only in terms of our inaccuracy.

We really did dominate and if we kicked better could have easily won by ten goals.

It was a big game on a big stage so it could have gone sour. Plus an in form Viney was out and so was Lever. Our fwd line is far from settled with bbb back after a long absence and Sw still struggling.

    We did very well.

Agreed. I thought we played an exciting brand of football, notwithstanding goal kicking accuracy, given Richmond's attempts to snuff the life out of the game.

While ANB's disposal efficiency was down a little bit, his pressure acts (65) and score involvement (11) numbers were at game high levels. I'd think the selection commitee might find a way to keep him in the side.

it wasn't one of ANB's better games last night, but he has been solid for most of the year. he will not get dropped for one off night.

As for those advocating for TMac to replace Weid - TMac 5 games (4 goals), Weid 4 games (8 goals).

New strategy for getting away with umpire dissent...

Do the thumbs up after you have lifted your arms like Clarry haha.

i didn't notice it tonight, but I think Max suggested this as a tactic earlier in the week. Gus mentioned it in the Gus and Gawny podcast.

It’s very hard to keep winning, even though we didn’t finish our good work from the back often enough, it’s very obvious we are extremely hard to beat.
Shout out to Hunty, thought he was very good on Bolton. Petty will be a star if he’s not already.

Jayden is really building this season, perhaps his best game.

    Agree with you Titan.
Any one that can't love our footy and true  commitment at the moment after the last unsuccessful years is being very picky and churlish.
Barack for a non competitive team that does get the tough ball and you would lose the game 8 times out of 10.
MALDONBOY you need to see it live and not out of a small screen where ball ups and scrimmages seem the norm.
Not really buying your explanation as it appears your heart is not in with the Dees  or are you satisfied that we have won ONE Flag. ?

Who made you the arbiter of what a supporter should or shouldn't be? People choose to go, or not to go to the footy for various reasons.

I stayed down  the coast for Easter, have for 12 years and will contiune to do so. I will also attend as many home games as I can. I don't need somone else to tell me how to support my club.

  6. Thanks eveyone. i found a little booth opposite the temporary membership stand where you could pick up guest passes. The guest seating is behind the goals, it was a nice change to see the game from a different spot, however I wouldn't want to do it every week.

Emailed to you or him? I did the same last week with a mate and his went to his email address I used to add his details on for the ticket.

Actually, it is on the App now, but i can't seem to forward it, but i can add it to my wallet which is useless. The email I did get was just a confirmation of purchase. It has a link to managing your purchase, which takes you to the club website, but still no option to forward.

  8. I have purchased a guest pass for a friend tomorrow night. Does anyone know where I can pick it up at the ground?

Also, the club website says that you can't bring guests into the reseved seats area, but rather there is a guest seating area, however when I called the club today, they said we can sit in the area where I have my seat.

Can anyone confirm what the deal is for guest passes for premium members?

    Thanks.

He was a tough nut, he was more than merely heroic in games, he was largely unstoppable, he had the best passing foot across all distances that you might ever see in a lifetime; he was also a sacrificial lamb. He, like so many ex-players in his company under his marshalling, alongside so many of his fans and onfield observers stayed loyal to the Club and his guiding brilliance.

He was brilliant, and unfortunately his white line fever will be what he was remembered for.

When we won the Premiership I created this image and posted it to Facebook. It had 10,000 likes.

Saw on a Facebook group that someone had it tattooed on their arm.

Nice work, although I am not sure I would have kept the sponsor logo.

I remember that game with Steven Clark well. Pretty sure he had that kick for goal to tie the scores. I was up the other end and knew his kick was on line. However I had a flight to Perth that night, so immediately left the ground without knowing whether he kicked it.

I grew up within walking distance of Windy Hill, so aside from the MCG, that was my 2nd most attended ground. I'd go with school mates and we'd meet under the windsock at the scoreboard end. I never felt intimidated cause I knew most of the people around me, but I could understand why opposition supporters hated going there. The crowd was 95% Bombers supporters.

As a young tacker, I would go to either Footscray (Wester Oval) or Hawthorn (Princes Park) games with my 2 oldest brothers. I never found their supporters to be feral.

My 1st experience with feral supporters was on the train home from a Dees game at the G. I was on the Broadie line, and when the train stopped at North Melbourne, feral Richmond supporters and a few North supporters got on. The Richmond supporters directed every expletive under the sun at the North supporters. That was the only time as a youngster that I felt scared that a fight was going to start.

From memory, most of the Dee's supporters were up the other end. It would have been a draw if he kicked it. I thought we had won, and it was only when the Bombers fans started on me that I realised we had lost.
