He didn't need to be quick. His ball use and decision making was exquisite.

I worry that 72 hours won’t be enough to test, get results and then apply and receive the border pass.
You might want to check the terms. I have a friend who has only been tested today, and said he could home quarantine in QLD until he gets the results.

I got a call to say my mother was taken to hospital and most likely would not be allowed to fly as planned from Sunshine Coast to Sydney. So change of plans we would fly to her. Needing a Covid test to get into Qld we went to get a Covid test yesterday. Was in a queue from 6pm till 10pm closing time and didn’t make the end of the queue. Lined up again from 7am this morning and eventually got my test done at 9.30am. Got home to receive a message that the hospital was going to release her and allow her to fly after all. So 6.5 hours of queuing time I’ll never get back.
Where did you get tested?

Not so, dc. An acronym is an abbreviation formed from the initial letters of other words and pronounced as a word (eg NASA, AIDS, RADAR, AWOL and FOMO).

Is that Ken Melville in the photo by any chance?
I know he was at the game.
That bloke could be in his 90's.
I don't think so, he looks a bit younger.
He was definitely at the game. The bloke who I gave my barcode to him up with him a few days after the game. Said he was rapt.

Experienced Football Administrator Marcus Wagner has been appointed Melbourne Football Club’s new General Manager, Football Operations and AFLW.
Wagner, who has spent the last 13 years at the Collingwood Football Club, began his career in performance analytics before progressing to head up the club’s football operations. Over his journey with Collingwood, he has been heavily involved in the development of the club’s high performance training facilities and its AFLW program.
Wagner will oversee the Football Operations for the AFL, AFLW, VFL and VFLW programs, filling the role previously served by Daniel McPherson, who announced his departure early in the month having accepted a position with North Melbourne. He will commence at the club in November.
Great. i guess that means we will need to offload Clarrie, Dogga and Lever in 2 years time because we are paying to much for Tmac and BB.

When my sister, a Hawthon supporter, had kids i gave each one of them a Melbourne guernsey. None of them really got into the footy, and still don't today.
When my brother had kids, I did the same. My brother isn't what you would call a die hard fan, but this year footy became a bit of relief from the drudgery of Covid. His 6 year old daughter would often sit and watch the footy with him if it was in the right time slot.
My niece has not taken off her Melbourne jumper since Sunday, and is so proud to be a Dee's supporter. My brother thanked me for getting her a jumper with Trac's number, however my sister reminded him it was a hand me down from one of her kids. She also reminded me that when i gave it to my nephew I told her it was the number of a future captain of the MFC, Brock Maclean. No wonder they didn't get into the footy!
What is great about the win is that a whole new generation of kids will be proud to wear our colours. My niece is already pestering me to take her to her first footy game.

Seems pretty corporatized to me. Do they get intellectual property rights over the piece of skin you put it on? 🤔
Though it's not as bad an idea as the official premiership cheese board they started flogging on the Demon Shop after the match.
The cheese board is genius.

Maxy said to Goody leave him in the ruck, that what got us going the drive he gave us out of the centre bounces. Jacko is like the tallest ruckrover/ruckman in the league. He is so good below his knees.
Moving Dogga to the ruck was the game changer. Martin was playing the man and not the ball while Max was rucking. Dogga taking ruck duties screwed their tactic of nullifying Max's influence at clearances.

Maysie chugging a crowd beer, snow angels. Does it get any better?
Fair to say he got a better reaction than the last time he was captured on camera chugging a beer.

I still can't believe what happened last night. I honestly thought I would never see a flag. I love this team.
To my long departed grandfather, who virtually forced me to become a Melbourne supporter when I was 4 years old, all is forgiven.
Thanks Demonland. While I only recently joined, I have been lurking for years. The pain of not being able to share this victory with other Melbourne fans has been lessened by reading your posts.
Go Dees!!!!

Every player from the 2000 Grand final was happy to comment except:
Farmer declined to be interviewed, telling foxfooty.com.au he was “not interested. Happy living the quiet life.”
Just watch Robbo's interview with him a couple of weeks ago. he is a Demon through and through.

I haven't had a drink for a year, but a spliff would go down nicely to help calm the nerves. Alas, I don't move in those circles anymore.
I will probably stay at home and watch it with my wife. i am not sure I could be in public to witness another Grand final loss. Still carred from 88 and 2000.

The vast majority of Dee's fans live in Melbourne and it is hard to reconcile that we won't see Melbouurne awash with Red and Blue as we make our way to the game. No bbq's with family and mates. No pubs open to scream and holler with fellow supporters. No dancing in the streets if we take home the silverware. It feels a little hollow.
What will you do in this strange year as part of the build up to the big dance?
For regional Vic's like myself or interstaters, are there any venues who will be holding events for those of us who are luckily enough not to be in lockdown ?
Around the grounds.

I went to Windy Hill once, it was the game Steven Clark was kicking for goal after the siren, and the bombers fans ran onto the ground and made sure it wouldn’t go through the sticks. Feral Bombers fans, it was a scary escape.
I went to Princes Park several times. I didn’t mind it except when we had to play home games there. I remember a game versus West Coast and they thrashed us by100 plus points. It was the angriest I have ever been at the footy.
Waverley wouldn’t have been bad if it wasn’t at the a.. end of the world and a mongerel to get out of the car park, especially in the wet. It had a beautiful playing surface though.
