Dee-sappointment Article Nails It
This is EXACTLY how I'm feeling. Change the 30 years to 60 and it's me. I'm a pensioner and am far from wealthy, but I've still spent around $1,000 just this year on memberships, raffles, fund raising, merchandise etc. to keep the club going. But on Sunday something died. My passion and undying optimism and faith stopped. I haven't watched or listened to anything AFL, let alone MFC which is not me. Like everyone here I have gone through bad patches frequently but this feels different. Terminal. I want to snap out of it but I'm not confident I will. I need to put Groundhog Day behind me.

WELCOME TO DEMONLAND - ADAM TOMLINSON
So he possibly lacked motivation because he knows he's leaving? It was a final!!!! Isn't thst the ultimate motivation?? How did Dangerfield play knowing he was leaving Adelaide? My lack of enthusiasm is based on watching him for a couple of seasons because his name has been raised before. Why replace our existing plodders with another at twice the salary?

WELCOME TO DEMONLAND - ADAM TOMLINSON
Agree completely. Below average career stats in every facet except marking. Has never got a Brownlow vote in his career. Despite having a relatively injury free career, unlike most of his well credentialed teammates, has only 1 top ten club b & f (7th last year) in over 130 games. Not sure what his best position is. Maybe front row in the team photo because he looks like he should be able to play.

AFLW: Rd 4 vs North Melbourne
Just wanted to say how proud I am of our AFLW team. Another close loss, it happens so often it seems. So I thought I'd check the records. In our short history, we have played 18 games for 11 wins and 7 losses. 5 of those losses have been by less than a kick. In every one of those 5 losses we had more scoring shots than the opposition. The cumulative scores are; Opposition 29.12 Melbourne 22.34 In another loss we kicked 1.4 to 4.1. Only against Collingwood last year have we been comprehensively defeated in our history. It is frustrating to say the least.

Golf Clash
Hey all. I play a golf game called Golf Clash. You can find it on your phones app store. Some of you may have heard of it or may even play it. It's a lot of fun and can be quite addictive. It's free, but of course you can spend $, but only if you want. Anyway, they introduced 'clans' recently - completely voluntary - for players so they can feel part of a team. I have created one called Melbourne Demons. I say this only to ecourage those that are or will play in future. I created it for Melbourne supporters but most who joined are not. I will always ensure there are spots in the clan for genuine Dee supporters so if you ever play check the clan out and please join. It has a forum also and would rather talk MFC than golf ?

Farewell Jesse Hogan
And he wouldn't get that at Melbourne with a flag to boot????????

Farewell Jesse Hogan
I would have thought that too but 'the chart has flipped' as GW would say. Freo have professed their love to Jessie for years, he finally does something about it and in effect they reject him. From what I've seen and heard about Jesse that will hurt him deeply and that little Freo fan inside him just might be gone. He knows he is loved at Melbourne and that love is tangible. I wouldn't be surprised if he re-signs long term with us now. I certainly hope so.

Farewell Jesse Hogan
Not quite 'feather in cap' worthy Peter, but something has been inserted somewhere!

Farewell Jesse Hogan
Is it too late to renege on the Jeff Farmer trade? Maybe.......but Kobe is ours!!! ?
-
Farewell Jesse Hogan
In his very first statement he made the trade period about him. He won't pass his 3 month probation..

Farewell Jesse Hogan
I thought Burton at Adelaide was the worst AFL club administrator but Bell may get the gong.

Farewell Jesse Hogan
Excellent and balanced interpretation of what is an emotional time for everyone one involved including supporters. Thanks Pro Dee

Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
We have given up the unknown to secure the known. SMART!

Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
Not worth a 4th rounder. Will never be any good! *I reserve the right to change this opinion once the deal is completed ?

That explains the pre finals match stance. "Don't touch me!! ?

Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
If Adelaide won't budge on 2 first rounders there is a solution if Richmond are interested. We could swap our top 3 picks 10, 27 & 45 (draft value 2445 pts) for Richmonds 15, 17 & 53 (draft value 2370 pts). We give the 2 first rounders to Adelaide and keep the slightly downgraded 3rd rounder. Richmond end up in the top 10 of draft and better trade value overall. Thoughts?

Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
What if JW goes to Sydney. We get their 2nd draft pick (31) and Swans swap their 1st pick (14) with Adelaides (16) to sweeten the Lever offer? I know some will say unders for Jack but we have devalued him this past week.

Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
.........you like him? And yet I get your point. No player causes so much internal pain, joy and frustration as Jack. He continually challenges our emotions and judgement. I expect when he retires we will be non the wiser of his standing in the rankings of past players. We fear if we trade him his best will haunt us. If we keep him his worst will do the same. I don't know the answer.

Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
Read Lampers very accurate report again. It's not that certain Trac will stay a Demon, just that he won't leave Victoria. Not suggesting he won't be a Demon for life but I didn't get the same comfort as you.

Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
Top key forwards will always be worth more than top backs. Carey and G. Jakovic had great duels and were regarded as the best in their positions for years. Forget the baggage, who do think was worth more on the open market? Do a quick comparison with todays players.

Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
That is how it should be and usually is. Tom, the person, is a little different to most. He was almost obsessive in trying to get to play with Oscar and signed his contract extension on the same day and duration as Oscar when the club offered him a longer deal. I am not saying that's why we would keep Oscar over Frost, although if we had to I probably would. But I do believe trading Oscar would influence Tom's next contract decision.

Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
I agree. I hadn't seen much of Adelaide at all in recent years so didn't have a handle on Lever (is there a joke in there?) and just saw the last half tonight. Even though their career stats are similar, Lever does look so much more polished than Oscar etc. I now understand the hype. Yes!
