I have been a passionate Melbourne supporter since the mid 70’s. Robbie is by far my favourite ever player. Daylight second. In my early days going to watch him play was pretty much the only reason to go to our matches. The other team probably won but they didn’t have Robbie playing for them.

To be fair, aside from 6 flags as a player (2 as premiership captain) and another 4 as coach, AFL and Melbourne teams of the century, Australian Football Hall of fame - Legend Status, Sport Australia Hall of Fame etc, etc what would Barrass know about footy? Gold Coast had picks 19, 27, 30, 41 & 46. My understanding is that if any team bid on Havana Harris then GC had to match the bid within the next 18 picks (they pretty much get a one round discount). So if any of the first 8 teams with picks were to bid for Harris they were always going to have to cough up pick 19. In other words it didn’t really matter who bid on her. It also explains why they didn’t mind giving up pick 2 for Mithen.

To be fair on Tayla she spent less than a week in Paris with Nike and missed just ONE scheduled training Having said that I am not adverse to her moving on if we get a good pick for her. BangBnagBang’s Tayla plus pick 20 for 14 & 28 seems fair to all involved. I am concerned with her playing down back particularly when the ball hits the ground
