  1. Not at all comparing him to Chris Judd but his first few steps Judd like
  2. Tyla Hanks too! Wasn’t she voted by the other teams the player they most wanted to play with them? To not make even the top 40 is ludicrous
  3. I’d have A. Mackin in the team before Mithen. I’ve always liked Lilly but think the game may have passed her by. To be honest I’m bit concerned she has two years left on her contract. I think Aimee will be a significant addition for us. I wonder if they have any other Irish girls on the radar?? How do they get drafted? Apparently they have high hopes for the athletic 185cm Jacinta Hose - she may make round 1 team and you’d think pick 10 in this years draft would be close. I’m really looking forward to next year. Think we’ll do well
  4. Tahlia Gillard is only 20 Tahlia Gillard is only 20! Bloody hell. It will be more than interesting to follow her career path. She is already one of the best defenders in the game Also didnt know that Chaplin is still so young (22). For some reason I thought she was a mature age recruit last year. Won’t have to worry about filling her HB spot till into the 2030’s. Such a high footy IQ
  5. It is going to be interesting to see what they have planned for Tayla Harris next year. We have Zanker, Gall and Campbell who are all tall forwards. Both Gall and Campbell were looking increasingly at home towards the end of this season. Gall, in particular has pretty sticky hands and an accurate shot at goal. Add into that the 185cm Jacinta Hose who the club had so much faith in they drafted her at pick 24 last year even though she was never going to play this year. She is apparently incredibly athletic with a very high ceiling. We won’t be short with talls.
  6. You’d think she’d be a shot for the AA Captain.
  7. Blumin hell Mick Sinnear is good. Lost by points, season 95% done and dusted and he delivers pretty much the perfect post match speech. Doesn’t sugar coat it, tells truths and says we will go hard against the Pies next week. Love it.
  8. Apparently so did Matthew Bate and Liam Stocker but then a bloke called Clayton Oliver did too as did Hugh McCluggage
  9. Hats off to Shelley Heath who kept Jaimee Lambert (arguably their most important player) to her statistically worst game for the year. It goes a long way to winning when one of their prime movers and talisman is rendered ineffectual 6. Hanks 5. McNamara 4. Heath 3. Goldy 2. Chaplin 1. Gall Special mention to Campbell whose ruck tap work is improving but mainly for the ridiculously kamikaze marking effort that led to Zankers left foot goal. It was Tayla Harrisesque
  10. Maeve Chaplin must be in the running for the most improved. Has turned into captain reliable in the backline taking some telling marks and directing traffic. Also has a long accurate kick.
