  1. Can’t believe I’m ready to switch over for the GWS V St Kilda game.
  2. I’m with you. They have the potential to absolutely scar a fellow grand finalist for years to come, per GWS, Sydney, Port (2007)
  3. Just hand Collingwood the flag now. Going to be another grand final massacre for the third year in a row. The only club that could remotely challenge them on GF day is Brisbane or possibly Geelong if they come home like a freight train.
  4. Jon Ralph mentioned this at half time of the Hawks v WC game. A potential low grade strain. We’ll find out tomorrow the news.
  5. Definitely won of our better wins of last year against a reasonable high quality side. Hard to fathom we went out in straight sets given we beat Freo and Brisbane on the road convincingly in the last month of the season.
  6. What’s Christian’s rationale for grading it medium considering Rozee got up a second later and ended up kicking the winning goal for Port?? If we have a solid foundation in arguing this down from medium to low impact, and hence allowing Hunter to play next week, then we should take it to the tribunal.
  7. I reckon the big non MFC story this weekend is Geelong. In order to make top 4 they’ll probably need to go 11-2 with major tasks against Dogs at Marvel, Port at AO, Brisbane at the GABBA, Collingwood at the G and (to a lesser extent) us at GHMBA. I think they’ve lost too many games to be considered a flag chance.
  8. Absolutely underselling Fremantle’s win today.
  9. Well I hope the players take Fremantle a bit more seriously than you are.
  10. Hand the great man a mid season draft lodgement form.
  11. Will be our best win of the season to date if we salute, given how in form Freo are.
  12. Does beating Freo count as a scalp?
  13. Does beating Freo count as a scalp?
  14. Does beating an in form Fremantle/Walayaup next week count as a scalp? Our schedule is certainly heating up now.
  15. In fairness to Hunter his mate on the other wing is stinking up the joint as well.
  16. He’ll get cited no doubt under the current climate. The only key question is if it’s medium (1 week) or low (fine). The fact that Rozee played on and indeed kicked the winning goal would provide an argument for low contact.
  17. For those that are watching the Dogs v Adelaide game, have Dogs been that good or Adelaide that poor. Dogs are quietly making a top 4 bid.
  18. Nothing to do with umpiring. According to fox footy North made one too many interchanges.
  19. Sydney have copped the one in a million inspired North performance. No way North win if the events of Thursday didn’t happen. Just like last year when North knocked off Richmond.
  20. 10 games is enough evidence to suggest we smash the hopeless bottom 3 sides, invariably beat most of the 6th-15th sides in good battles (eg - Richmond and GC) and just fall short of the mark against the elite sides. All this points towards a 15-8 season, and 8 losses usually gets you around 5th-7th. Unless we can get a scalp in Collingwood, Geelong or Brisbane than perhaps an MCG home elimination final win is our ceiling this year.
  21. Brad Johnson on SEN on Wednesday night made a point that our fixture toughens up from last night through to Geelong and predicted we’d go 3-3 from round 10 to round 16, with a loss to Port. Given we lost game 1 of the 6 week patch, you’d have to now take a 3-3 record.
  22. Victorian clubs travel schedule after round 10 in order of ladder: Collingwood 3 Melbourne 5 St Kilda 3 Bulldogs 3 Geelong 3 Carlton 3 Essendon 3 Richmond 2 North 5 Hawthorn 6
  23. It’s probably a way of resting our best mids so we’re not burnt out by September. However we need to record enough wins in the first place to ensure this strategy is a success.
  24. Tackles inside 50: Them 18 Us 6
