I'd be surprised if we didn't get band 1 compensation because I have no doubt Frawley will be offered a lucrative contract. I would assume one of the major reasons for his departure would be money. I can't imagine Frawley crossing to Hawthorn for 300K a year, where he could get at least $600K a year with us. I know Frawley wants to play finals but he's not going to play for peanuts. On a side note, if Frawley has made up his mind to leave (which he probably has) I wish he'd have the balls to man up and tell everyone and stop lying through his teeth. I would respect his decision a hell of a lot more if he was up front about it, rather than finding out next year that he'd already made up his mind in late 2013 / early 2014.

Surprised Gawn survived the cut as I reckon he's the worst player in the squad- at the moment. I don't subscribe to the theory of 'stretching their defence' because as soon as the tall blokes drop marks, the opposition invariably clear it out more often than not. Having said that I'll leave it to Roos who's selections this year have been very good.

I've seen way more injury ravaged MFC sides than the outfits they put out in rounds 1-3.
