PREGAME: Rd 10 vs Brisbane
I like that if Petty doesn't work up forward we can swap him with Turner. I think both are better in the backline but we just don't have an in-form forward so that's what we have to work with. May is aging quickly but Lever still has a lot of good footy in him. His ankles have always been a problem, no more now than in the past. It will be great to get him back on the park next week, along with Viney (if he can carry on from where he left off). I think Spargo is an asset and his worth can't be measured in goals alone. We need players with good disposal efficiency in the team. He may not have a big kick but he hits targets and is creative with his use. I don't give us a chance this week but I would love to be surprised!

Bolt is so close to having a great first quarter. A few fumbles, but continually in dangerous positions. Have faith. Gee the Eagles are bad. Surely we can't lose this

I'm watching from Puku bar in Ha Noi. I have to leave for my cousins wedding in 45 minutes so I'll miss the end but I'm loving this performance so far!

Time to go Goody?
Last year Goodwin lost his nerve and changed game plan mid year. This year he swore going in that he learned from this and will stick to his guns. I fear this may be the death of his career with us. We are desperate for change but he is locked into the same players in the same positions playing the same style that isn't working. We need a shake up and I don't think he is in any position to supply it. 2018 was brilliant. 2021 was amazing. I will.always be grateful for that, but we are going backwards fast.

GAMEDAY: Rd 05 vs Essendon
2012, round 10, winless Dees came up against 2nd on the ladder Bombers. Need, yet to record a win, swung Garland forward and he kicked 2 goals in the last to win the match for us. I missed the game for a friend of a friend's bucks party and won a ps3 as part of the deal. I'll be missing tonight's game because it's the first night of Passover and I'll be with my family. I'll be sure to keep an eye on the game though. Is Goodwin capable of unconventional moves? Doubtful! Is there a chance we can win? Absolutely! Go Dees!

The AFL 2025 Fixture
Didn't all the teams (bar 1?) Who played in R0 last year win in round 1 against sluggish opponents? Isn't it better to break up an ever increasingly long season with more byes? It seems to me playing in R0 is an advantage we didn't make the most of last year.

What was your excuse?
My parents will go to just about every home game held during the day but only attend night games if it's a final. I much prefer day games too, and although i still go to the night matches I'm almost relieved when we are out of it by 3 quarter time so I can get home at a reasonable hour. I love the club but attending games is not at the top of my priority list.
