Hard to see GC missing finals this year, the way they are playing.

I acknowledge I am a grumpy person but it does my bloody head in that Marvel tenant clubs play home games at the MCG and we have to play a home game at Marvel.

For me if one of the youngsters is remotely close to selection I am picking them in front of one of May, Lever or McDonald if he needs a rest or form drops off. I will probably be on my own here but I am not sure Lever is an automatic choice in our best team anymore.

Overall I think rucks are overrated and the last three premiers have all had below average rucks in the grand final. Not saying the clubs didn’t worry about rucks though But I think rucks like LJ and TDK are incredibly important in the modern game. They are probably two of the most important players at their clubs and I would love either of them at Melbourne.

Why? Don’t we have future picks to play with?

I love your optimism but I just can’t see it happening. I think we are actually heading in the right direction but for me we clearly aren’t fit enough and doubt that is going to change this season. Mentally I don’t think this group is ready to grab and rise to the challenges and overall I think we have too many question marks. I hope you’re right though.

I would say the ladder is a pretty good indicator to judge how our overall training is going. We are currently bottom four and leave ourselves open to criticism for pretty much anything. Particularly we have areas of the game we have seen the same issues for years.

I agree wholeheartedly we need to get some games into some of these younger players. This year is gone we need to be looking at next year and we have some old players in May, McDonald and Melksham who are still going ok but they aren’t playing in our next flag. I would love to see Sestan and Adam’s play quite a few games this year. I know lots of people don’t like Laurie but I don’t think he has been given a fair go to show if he’s up to it or not most of his games have been one game at a time. Would love to see him play three or four games in a row and see if he shows anything.

Just some casual observations. Incredibly frustrating to watch us butcher set shots again. We have improved a lot since the last match I watched a month ago but still have a lot to work on if we are to challenge for finals next year We need to get games into Adam’s this year I personally don’t think Jake Lever is a big out with the way the game is currently played We need to find a way to get back into the first round of the draft this year If we sacked our fitness boss this week I wouldn’t be disappointed I am not convinced a couple of our youngsters will live up to their draft positions I hope Kozzie plays his entire career with us

First game I have seen us play for a while and apart from our kicking at goal we have been good. I really hope we win this.

Think some people are being a bit harsh on LJ, his form before doing his hamstring this year was very good. Has a higher player rating than Sam Darcy for the year and not far behind Max. Would love him back.

I have been lucky enough to be away for three weeks and not see any football. I have watched the night games this week and a bit of this match some of the worst football I have seen for a long time.

Must be a few pages on the Fremantle fan page asking if Justin Longmuir is the right guy.

First game I have watched in three weeks and North have been horrendous so far.

I would say when you’re a below average team in this competition every game is potentially brutal. We don’t have the luxury of a home ground advantage and we are not that good a team. Take every win we get.

Right up there but I would still have Essendon fans just ahead.

I am very lucky to be on holidays in another country , haven’t seen a second of the game and also haven’t seen or heard any politician.
