Huge result to be the only interstate team to down the Suns up there. We’ve now won 11 games so far this season when the footy gods have thrown everything at us including the kitchen sink. The 4 games we’ve lost by under a goal this year have been costly: Lions by 5, Power and Giants by 2 points and Blues by 1 point. If we’d won just 2 of these we’d probably be playing finals. If we won all 4 of these games, we’d be in the Top 4 or even Top 2. I think many other sides would be far lower than 12th this season if they had the kind of year we’ve had. Up the Red Leggers!

Wow the AFL really wanted the Pies to be a chance for the 8. Umpires slaughtered the Lions in the last.

I hope we smash the Pies. To win 12 games in a season where everything that could go wrong did go wrong would be a huge result. The media narrative about our footy club would also be shot too! Can’t wait!

The wash up of this season will no doubt show even more players carrying injuries. Glad Clarry can get the medical help he needs and be right for a good preseason. And that’s why we’re better off playing the Giants or Suns away or in Alice. This is more about the AFL [censoring] us by fixturing us [censored] home game against interstate teams at the G on prime time. We lose financially from this but it’s the AFL’s fault.

There were supposedly rumours about May and Lever being injured prior to the game. Does the panel think we’ve got any players carrying injuries into games (circa 2022) other than perhaps Max Gawn? It seems to be this part of the season where so many players are carrying niggles or injuries they can play through but must remedy at the close of the season.

Ladder doesn’t lie. Weren’t not frauds - we’re just not that good. We lost one of our best players before the season started, had multiple key players have shocking preseasons, been ravaged by injury, played the kids every game and clearly not got our fitness right.

At least we aren’t frauds like Essendon this year. We’re exactly where we deserve to be. The ladder doesn’t lie.
