    Just shows that some players just need games at AFL level to adapt to the speed etc.Also explains at time where players come up from Casey and take a little bit of time to show their true ability. Petty wasn't ready but it was probably good for him to get some exposure to identify this.

    Totally this. Gaff is very tasty icing, even moreso given he can now also play on the inside. This year's draft we can go purely best available as there is not much in the need category. Maybe trade for a ruck or find a mature age one.

    He is RFA next year, so I'm guessing if he has indicated leaving as a free agent, GWS would prefer to get more for him now than pick 15/16 next year. I would say he is worth 2 first round picks.

    I'll be in the tipping again. I also like Thursday night games as I go to the pub lunchtime Friday and depending on the time difference, get to watch at least half of the game. Jets @ Browns looks a cracker. ? Seems Dante Fowler may be traded from the Jaguars to the Jets - also wondering where Dez ends up. Only 16 days until the season starts. Can't wait.

    This system was brought in to stop players from being suspended. Hocking has said as much.

    No issue with Waleed being consulted - main surprise is another Geelong person wasn't asked. Hocking has loaded up with Geelong people on the Committee and the extras (Whateley etc) and also sees no reason to budge from his pre-determined view (Triple M last Saturday). All to give Danger room to move around stoppages.

    I just figured the umpires are in Finals mode where a lot of minor indiscretions are let go so the game flow is better. It was a bit surprising to find out there was 32 free kicks awarded - did not feel like that many watching it.
