  1. Not saying I’m an advocate. Just saying it’ll happen.
  2. This is the biggest Rort in modern day AFL HISTORY!! If you have Father sons, you shouldn't be allowed academies.
  3. Cue Goodwin bringing Spargo straight back in.
  4. @binman great discussion, I know it’s not your fortay! But how would we get Jackson back? We have no 1st rd pick? Will need points for Kalani White. Unless we can trade a future first rd pick? I just can’t see it happening.
  5. This sums up what it was like watching the first quarter @binman https://www.instagram.com/reel/DLeS3sLxdD4/?igsh=NjJraXhmeTJkdndo
  6. Gee you’ve gone abit hard. JVR was looking good until the start of this year. I’ll give you from what they’ve delivered so far at Melb. Tholstrup, Billings, Laurie, Sharp, Fullerton, Woewoden, McAdam, Jefferson, Hore. The rest haven’t even played an AFL game for us. Verrel, Adams & Brown haven’t been gifted games like a some of the “dead wood” as you put it above.
  7. IMO from the limited exposure he’s had. It’s hard to tell what his natural strength is? Is he a goal kicker? Is he a tackling machine? Can he read the play well? It might be too early? But the only thing I remember him doing so far is him kicking 2 lively goals against WCE last year.
  8. How about play Lauries for a full game and give him a look in the midfield? It’s where he plays at Casey?
  9. It’s been changed to high possession hand-balling game that keeps the ball moving forward as quick as possible. Problem is we don’t have the skill to do it, so it only works now and then.
  10. Never a truer word spoken. Go back and listen to Max in 21. He was ticking off clubs 1 by 1 he had a bone to pick with. Now this year he comes out early and gives that limp speech about he’s excited to see how this team handles different adversity throughout year? He sounds like he is just accumulating games to me and just playing to clock up another AA.
  11. Goodwin said Post match, they put a load into the boys early in the week. He then said we’ll have to look at our program. Why are we “loading” when we have no realistic target come September? Sounds like they flogged them on the track post bye and that might be why we were flat. Melksham said he normally lines up on the #1 defender and tries to negate them. But once we lost Petty, they reshuffled and went smaller and tried to hit up more leads. 2 questions. 1.Why don’t we back in our clubs own talents and strengths? This year we’re sacrificing our best winger (Langdon) as a tagger and every week our most creative forward has to play undersized? Why not attack the game and try win it than defend it from the outset? Is Goodwin now deliberately coaching to save his job as compared to trying to develop our list? I had to listen to it today on SEN, the 1st Qtr commentary sounded like an obituary’s piece. Once a coach starts coaching to save his job it never ends well, they normally back in the old faithful at the cost of exciting new talent. This might be a tough 8 weeks.
  12. Have you not watched his career? He is the definition of a charity contract. He is like James Frawley, bit with absolutely no talent or pace.
  13. Ben is without a doubt the worst player in the AFL. It’s dumbfounding how much money he is on!
  14. It’s years like these that weed out the Bandwagon who only buy memberships late in the year to get finals access. I know the more the merrier. But if a flag 4 years ago doesn’t get any loyalty out of you, nothing ever will!
  15. This is the most obvious move that should be made. As George states in the pod each week, JVR barely plays 40% game time up fwd. If we had a genuine 2nd ruck option, he might have a chance!
  16. I’d happily party with Rivers
  17. And I think we knew this last year, so we traded this years pick to Essendon. All we’ll need this year is points to take Kalani White, if/when he nominates us!
  18. This Instagram Reel sums up the Dees Goal Kicking woes. https://www.instagram.com/reel/DK8i28tJloX/?igsh=MW5yMjBsbDh0cWUxdg==
  19. Then he needs to go down back and Turner needs to stay up fwd. Bring Jeffo in and lets have a good look at him.
  20. How is it that when we were [censored] we had a better forward line? We had Robertson, Green, Jurrah, Hogan, Gartlett at different stages. Players who were at least reliable and had confidence in their own abilities. I could probably cop this year of development (wasted senior players) if we were at least taking our opportunities and were just not good enough. Could you imagine how our backline feels? Constantly under the pump defending turnovers and constantly copping 12 point turn arounds over and over. May intercepts on the last line or at half back, hits up a good option, only to watch it get bombed into the forward line where if by chance it’s marked, it isn’t converted and then most times pogo back and is kicked into space or over the head of our overworked defenders. I don’t blame May at all for his outburst last week against the Pies, he must be frustrated as hell watching his forward line constantly waste opportunity after opportunity. If I were him I’d be asking our forward line if there’s any danger they could kick some F’ing goals!
  21. @binman Are you able to tell me how many ineffective inside 50s we had this week? Thats the worst delivery I’ve seen in a long time.
