2024 NATIONAL DRAFT ORDER AND SELECTIONS
Why do St Kilda have 2 picks before us? (5 and 8). Or is this an error?

The top five teams you despise.
1. AFL Management Team - destroying my interest (passion?) in the game. 2. Collingwood - (have gone past Geelong due to recent events) 3. Geelong - just horrible. 4. Brisbane - so many unlikeable players 5. Everyone else.

PREGAME: Rd 03 vs Port Adelaide
Port have 3 talls at each end. I don't think Hore is big enough to hold any of their tall forwards so would bring in Tomlinson and leave Petty back with TMac. I would also bring in Fullarton as forward/ruck if he goes ok today. So 2 talls out 2 talls in. Would also think about making Windsor sub. Only a 5 day break til the Adelaide game and I don't think you can ask a kid to do a 5 day break and perform like he has been. Billings plays the wing and Windsor (hopefully) only plays a quarter as sub so keeps him fresh.

Your Least Favourite AFL Team (Poll)
Geelong! I live here. And now I see Joel the ducker Selwood every time I tune into a footy show.🤮 🤮

The 2023 Draft and Trade Targets Thread
Last year Geelong were given Pick 7 for taking on Jack Bowes and his $800k salary. Why aren’t we demanding Richmond’s first round pick for taking Lynch and his salary off their books? Doing them a favour. Or is that type of move restricted to “certain” clubs only?

Great win Freo! Live in Geelong and hate them with a passion! Even better both Blicavs and Hawkins did hammies! 😂😂😂

POSTGAME: Rd 03 vs Essendon
Happy with the win. Last 40 minutes we dominated, like the first 40 but kicked goals instead of points. Clarry, Gus, Langers, Weid were great! Good contributions from Harmes, Smith, Bowey, Jacko. Hunt wasn’t terrible, Gawny got lots of ball but I thought was beaten in the ruck. May beaten by Wright who looked dangerous all night. is Trac injured? Spargo ordinary, Tomlinson, ANB not great, Kozzie quiet - I so want to see him absolutely smash a team! Missing some key players but the system holding up well, Kudos to Goody - the system works regardless of personnel!

First Goal, Norm Smith, most goals, winning margin
I’m going with the 57 theme. First goal - No 5 - Petracca Norm Smith - No 7 - Viney Most goals - No 50 (7 goals) - BBB Winning margin - 57 points.

POSTGAME: Rd 02 vs St. Kilda
Good day for the Dees! Really gutsy win for the ladies and (almost) a dominant win for the boys! If only they could kick straight! Salem awesome tonight! Oliver great again! Tomlinson our most reliable defender? Kozzie so exciting, Swallow, Rivers and Jordon solid, Jacko getting better each week. Youngsters were good! Howard did to us what May and Lever did to Freo last week. Need Viney and Brayshaw to do more. Need to hold marks. Need to kick straight. Melksham and Hibberd to come back maybe next week. Then BB and Weid. Could be anything this year! Opportunity is there, need to grab it.

New Casey Coach Mark Corrigan
Watched him play many games at South Barwon with his brother Paul who played AFL for Geelong. Geelong Football League was a very high level competition and South Barwon dominated for about 6 years. Absolute gun at that level, way better than Tom Couch and as good as any player in the comp. I was lead to believe that he was going to be a Demon as a teenager but did his knee and so was never drafted. Not sure if this is true?

Can’t believe you censor names!? Rhymes with Rick, starts with a D.

Obscure Ex-Demons
My great uncle Fred [censored] - 4 games in 1926, a Premiership year. Did not play in the Grand Final sadly. Was the son of Alec [censored] - first captain of Essendon in 1880s. Also Dave McGlashan - filled in for Jacko when he was injured (or suspended) in 1982 and kicked 6 against Collingwood. Only played 6 games for 7 goals over 2 years.
