Anyone know where Hannan is at? What's the latest on him?

Was crushing it when he came back and a real standout in training. Happy he's resting up

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - HARLEY BENNELL
WA Demon Boy replied to Tinks's topic in Melbourne Demons
The noise is deafening this week for him playing, Thursday can't come soon enough. -
Bennell has to play, this club took a risk in getting him now it's time to double down on the risk and get him out there. Club won't play him a crazy amount of TOG, but it needs to add some excitement to the mix and players feed off that. I would rather a 75% fit Harley than a conservative player out on the park. Not to mention the quarters are shorter so can be cautious with how long he is out there for. I don't see a point in holding off on him playing if he is begging Goodwin to play. If we had other classy movers like him then I would say hold off, but we just don't. Unleash him

How did the Weed go? Also thoughts on Lever? Will he gets up?

If Bennell plays I'll eat my hat
-
solid - he has good penetration but just doesn't do it enough

Brayshaw is on a big warning this year Needs to show something, otherwise I would be happy to trade him

Finally some good news We need him fit - he's so unique in our team -
I’m glad the season is suspended. we’re so far from Pies, GWS, Rich and Eagles.
-
Lol right on que
-
Brayshaw has to do a lot to win me over. slow, awful kick, doesn’t run hard defensively, doesn’t kick goals.
-
They look totally flat. I think the decision coming before the game got inside our heads. They probably don’t believe it/not focused. Just going through the motions.

I'm Perth born and raised and been going for this club for 22 years now. Every time this game comes round I pray to God we beat the Eagles. I think we will go down but anything more than 3 goals will be concerning. Looking at Brown + Viney to have big ones.
-
As do I Watching Richmond last night a large majority of the delivery to their key fwds or mid sized fwds were from smaller players. Spargo doesn't need to jailing goals (always a bonus). He needs to be hitting up forward on the [censored] and applying pressure i50. ANB has to do the same. Although his kick is questionable at times...

Eagles backs are a worry for me. Shep, Gov, Hurn, Barrass, Jetta - all very very good players. We will have to make sure we're bringing it to ground at all costs. I don't care if Weed kicks any goals but he can't be outmarked. Especially at OS. Eagles love to spread from intercept marks. I was pretty optimistic we could get a win here with no crowd and Eagles a little banged up (JK, Darling, Gov, Barrass all had interrupted preseasons) but looking at their line-up it's very strong. I've said it before but I think if we're super physical early and manage to jump them we could be in with a chance. Heart says we get over the line. Head says we go down by 3 goals.

Damn no Jones or Salem. Stings a bit.
-
Kozzy and Bedford to debut!
-
Hopefully Jones gets up for round 1. First I've heard of this and praying it's minor. Great to hear Joel Smith back training with the main group too. Hannan can take his time, we have an array of small forwards now in Milkman, Fritsch, Kozzy, Spargo and Bedford so I'd rather us be really patient with him and let him recover to full health. This is actually a pretty solid outcome.
-
I agree. AVB and KK just can't get fit and contribute to the side now or in the foreseeable future. If Bennell can't either (hoping that he shows signs he can) then he will be added to the list too. We need to think 3-5 years from now and these three have to be left behind (Bennell's fitness excluded if he can get to 100%) if we want to be a consistent top 4-6 team.
-
Need Salem out there. Will be a bit of a loss on OS. His kick is much needed to set up play and be a link.
-
Seems like Eagles at full health

I don't know who our next capt after Max is and at stage I don't want to. Let Max see what he can do. Personally, I can't see Lever as our next skipper after Max
