  1. I am sorry Chook but that is just rubbish. There is no evidence to support what you say is happening. Quite the contrary.
  2. That would be a bridge too far for many supporters.
  3. Coulda picked the week before. Weid was a poor selection when you look at what came after him.
  4. Except for the fact Jackson is not a natural forward. He is a ruck/follower. Kozzie having the pace of Hunt is meaningless if he cant get the footy and better compose himself. Rivers was good choice. Remember blokes like Taylor are paid handsomely and they dont pick these kids out of the back blocks. They are on show all year. We need to kick goals and we have missed the opportunity to draft a future key forward.
  5. Fair enough, although way off the mark with best in close player seen. He has never performed as an elite in a Grand Fianl, or prelim for that matter so long way short. Games for games sake is irrelevant. Check were Ablett Danger and Selwood were at the 80 game mark. It is not a linear line.
  6. It's everyone in the club. I've always said this, we're in this together. We're trying to change shape as a footy club. To do that it takes a whole collective group of people to do that. This is all you need to hear to know, he knows he is trouble. Deflecting blame onto not just the playing group but the Club. Classic look over there comment to deflect blame. Stop the garbage talk about changing shape. Learn to speak in clear English language. It is rule 101 in any teaching textbook. You are embaressing yourself and the Club with such jibberish.
  7. I think the kid needs a commanding forward to tell him where and when to run. It cant be easy but a bit concerned he rushes things. It is like he is playing a fast, fast pace with other indigenous players.
  8. Hate to say it but Kozzie is looking like a speculative pick.
  9. Not sure on this one Skuit. Trac yes, is learning Clarry, needs to learn how to learn. Brayshaw, Do not see experience helping him , just will get slower. Langdon, lots to like. Max, is not learning and is mature enough without needing more games to mature.
  10. Titan Thanks for your research. The best I can work out is we would kicked 6 goals if we had nine players all playing in the forward line last night
  11. So you say. I do not care. It is what I heard. Footy world would not exist without stories handed down from one to the other. Never been in a pub or workplace? No evidence as such, have a source though and do your own thinking. Judging by what we have seen of Goodwin in Press conferences and interviews is he a flexible thinker. Could he come up with alternate game strategies as would be posed in an interview on the spot. We have seen no evidence of that in 4 years so far. Roos was sucked in as he couldnt wait to pick up his $$$ and get out of the place. Maybe not to you but it is an embarresment to me to have an Essendon coach looking after our young men. pass the needle.
  12. I would love someone statistically minded to find out the average goals per game of our starting six forwards last night. I am guessing a combined total of 3 per game. It was glaringly obvious we wouldnt kick enough goals to win.
  13. Yeah, different. Hogan had a go at him for fumbling the ball in th goalsquare that resulted in a goal. That is not leadership, its just heated words.
  14. Worrying sign at three quarter time. Max and Viney find themselves along side each other walking to the huddle, no sign of conversation between Captain and VC. To break the awkwardness Max moves to his right to acknowlege another player. No leadership
  15. Interesting, I had an awful experience with MCC security guards in 2020. I suspected then that they were sub contractors/ something shonky. How do you have 80 per cent of guards of one ethnicity working together, probability says otherwise.
  16. Never forget some say Goodwin was leaked interview, casual as it was, questions by Mahoney, his SA mate. It now makes sense as Goodwin would not have the brains to think on his feet in an interview. A SA coach was always going to be a cultural bridge too far, especially with an uneducated one with no experience outside of footy.
  17. Fair call on a lot of them. That said it is a coachs job to improve players when they are in the system. The only one I can see who has improved under Goodwin is Petracca. What is your go Ding? What are you being smart about.
  18. Its scary stuff as none of that lot have been regulars starting 18 this year. So leaves a heap of regulars who constantly let us down, Melksham, ANB and battlers like AVB and other.
  19. The worry for me is I had us finishing10-12 this year. My feeling was based on a combination of the list and coach and game plan. So, I a layman supporter, like others here are either better judge of our club talent and coaching or a fluke artist. I will go further, without significant change next year will be 12-18.
  20. It is clear the players are systemed out and totally lost, unable to even play the way that came natural to them in Under 15s. Someone and some plan is to blame.
