  1. There’s no way Freo are giving up Treacy or Amiss, it’s just not happening. They don’t have the capital for Koz so we should hold him for at least another year.
  2. I fear not much will change until we secure a new coach. To me it looks like we’ve thrown out the baby with the bat water
  3. I'm not sure we can expect Petracca to become a forward/mid when we butcher the ball going into F50, the forwards don't lead, space is ignored and it's kick on your head time.
  4. Petracca should be able to match Dangerfield as he ages and I think he will. Oliver needs to be much fitter in my book but that's just what I see, as for Viney, sheesh he should be playing at Casey.
  5. Against Essendon we just guarded grass in the last and let them chip the ball around. A more ridiculous way to try and win I am yet to see. I doubt it was particularly tiring although I found it very draining.
  6. The coaches need to work on Oliver playing to his strengths. For mine he's not as fit or nearly as damaging as he once was. Personally I don't think the team look hungry and if you ain't hungry you'll eventually starve. Goodwin should of be running players through the VFL. No one should be immune. Ego's need bruising to see who's in for the hard work we need to put in.
  7. Yes however our best players are excellent extractors and I would of thought there was now enough decent runners and kickers to be able to move the ball intelligently into F50. The problem is they are either coached to grab and kick or are simply ignoring other options because the vision shows the options are often there. Viney and Oliver should be flat out banned from kicking and both need to start running harder both ways. With Oliver, Viney, Petracca, Langford extracting and Gawn in the ruck we should be winning clearances and be able to get the ball to the outside. On the weekend we had 16 centre square clearances for a score of 1 point. That's laughable and simply has to be fixed this week. Watching Petracca storm out of the centre and fluff the kick and then watch Essendon run the ball the entire ground to have May drop a sitter and they score seriously made me want to switch to a romcom. We didn't need to drop out contest and defence we just needed to use handball to runners or kicks to open the corridor. It's not that complicated a game but without effort, contest, harassing the opposition and fierce tackling we may as well not show up. You only needed to watch PA thrash Hawthorn to know how to do it.
  8. We were masters at this only 2 seasons ago.
  9. I think that was my bad, apologies.
  10. Losing Melksham and Gus and before that Petty didn't help our chances.
  11. I was really nervous going into that game as we hadn't sewn up top 4 and I really thought we were flag bound.
  12. I have it on good authority that Petracca’s parents rating as “Difficult” is an understatement
  13. Does Justin Leppitisch want to be a senior coach again, I thought he didn't?
  14. Our onfield form does not mean we are falling apart internally. I'm going to watch with interest the next few months. Some fairly big inclusions and changes appear imminent and it'll say a lot about the club how these changes are handled. Take the Demonland route of burn it to the ground and run around arms flapping or calmly and methodically make the necessary change. The club is under pressure but most of that pressure will be internal, no one wants to be in this position but here we are, now let's put our big boy pants on and get to work.
  15. This is becoming a pile on from these lesser journalists, if you'd even call them that. Can they pull up Richmond's attendances this year? We are not in limbo. We have a well organised transition in place from Brad Green to Steve Smith and our finalising our search for a CEO. We are as close to a home base as we have been for 50 years. Yes our football is terrible atm but our list is in pretty good shape, Trac has just committed to the club and we may even keep Kozz. Our biggest weakness for mine is our coaching department and I'll guess we see substantial change on that front this year. The Dee's remain a strong BUY for mine.
  16. No to Longmire as coach, yes as Football Director.
  17. Steve Smith might well support Melbourne but his level of professionalism is exactly what the club needs, same can be said of Alistair Nicholson. The rest can go. Beveridge is an interesting candidate but he won’t be alone in the queue
  18. If he wins us a flag I don’t care if we miss finals
  19. Exactly. We needed to clean up going inside 50 not throw the baby out. Get some better users on the outside and let the grunts do what they do. It’s a staggering misstep by the club and that’s on the coaches. Finals football is all that matters and that was our one wood bar our last kick inside 50. Now we’re muppets all over the ground.
  20. FFS, we’re being well served by an experienced operator who is our acting CEO. It’s not uncommon to take a lengthy period of time to find a new CEO. It only looks bad because we are unexpectedly poor on the field.
  21. It was implied on a report that it was done but you may well be right
  22. We fumble a lot
  23. No idea, it’s been alluded to in the media the last few days that an announcement is pending. I have no inside source.
  24. Word is we’ve got a CEO. Announcement pending.
