  1. If kossie could just get his timing right he'd take plenty of screamers. Bizarre that he can't make the adjustment. Jumps a fraction too early every time.
  2. Poor execution is one thing. players make mistakes. it happens. it's not on purpose. but poor discipline is selfish and stupid. Kozzies indiscipline cost us. he needs to learn. I'm glad Goody took him to task. And Goody should give JVR a spray while he's at it. Badly needed him on Friday night but he was sitting on the pine, suspended. He needs to learn as well.
  3. I'm not Tommo's biggest fan. Reckon his form has been patchy this season. Pushed TDK in the back for carltons 2nd goal. Lost him for the first goal. Trailed behind his man most of the night. Slow and immobile. I understand we need the 3rd tall to free up Lever but can disco play this role instead?
  4. Well they should have waited until post finals to offer the extension then. Reflects pretty poorly on their decision making processes if they are regretting the decision already.

    Micah Parsons is a monster.
  6. Not good enough plenty of regrets some bright spots hope springs eternal
  7. I've checking the website all day for an update so I'm glad to hear she's ok
  8. just tell them all to practice their goal kicking

Death riding freos pick. That was great fun. Schadenfreude is very satisfying so a big thank you to freo for that enjoyment
  10. Agree re AFLW but would love to see the pies get beaten. I will enjoy that if it comes to pass
  11. Poor discipline cost us jvr. Stupid indisciplined actions cost us at vital moments as well. channel any angry into the contest. Win the game. There’s no better way to deal with to show your toughness than that.
  12. The learning for me is that good ball users like spargo should play because we don’t have enough good ball users
  13. I don't know. We just seem to tighten up. There's a weight there. I can feel it, the crowd can feel it. There's a mental block or burden there which needs to be overcome. Thats my sense anyway. could be wrong of course.

Tough day in the office on Friday but life goes on. Other positives We get to see Carlton pumped in a prelim (fingers crossed) We get to see the orange team (our new second team) pump the pies (fingers crossed). How much joy will we derive if that bubble gets burst. If there is a God, he/she will make it happen. With Port losing last night we moved up another spot in the draft order I saved myself the price of a plane ticket and overnight stay in Brisbane And it’s a beautiful day in Melbourne. Is it just me or did that seem like a long winter. Go Dees
  15. In the cold light of day we lost and it sucks As the game was panning out i just wanted to get over the line and avoid another straight sets exit. The way we were playing was not good enough to beat the Lions. Now we have a chokers tag to live with and won't shake until we win a final again.
  16. we moved up one spot in draft order from 14 to 13 because Port lost.
  17. I felt better watching the girls yesterday as well. It was a nice antidote. It's a purer experience. It's all about the footy. No hype, corporate speak or bloviating pundits. I hope the ALFW manages to keep the lower key vibe. I want the crowds to grow but keep playing at suburban grounds. Anyways, I'm really looking forward to the next few weeks watching this team try to go back-to-back. I know most Dees supporters have turned their minds to draft/trade or switched off for the year, but the footy season has a long way to go for me. Go Dees.
  18. At least we're not the only ones. Port do serve up some horror home finals defeats. They've been spanked twice in 3 years (doggie pf in 2021 and last night) in big finals in front of their own fans. At least we've been spared that (small mercies i know)
  19. bundle 24, 32 and our future first for GC pick 5? or do we need to include 13?
  20. The Giants were excellent last night (other than goal-kicking in the second half). I wish we could play like that. We definitely need some new assistant coaches who can help evolve a more corridor-based plan. The game has moved on and i fear we're getting left behind.
  21. Greene plays better when the oppo try to intimidate him. Maynard will go to work on someone else
  22. And the team that wins their elimination final has momentum and confidence versus the losing qf team.
  23. Coniglio with the settler
  24. It’s hot in the kitchen now
  25. Giants gone off the boil. Port back within 3 goals. Game not over yet by a long way
