we'll take you jet-lagged and/or inebriated, toot... seriously, I am sorry, but it seems some players must miss out whatever date falls on the calendar... yes, I am anticipating a ripper of a game... talkingcarlton have organising problems at the moment, but the groundswell of support for the match on their site is building up, so hopefully somebody over there will step up into the organiser role...

I hear you, pringle... date not set yet, and I have been known to take bribes... really sorry you have to miss this one, mate... I was speaking to the talkingcarlton organiser yesterday, and we both expect it to be a ripper of a game... heard from melbournefc... who is worried this date may clash with a tennis fixtue at rod laver arena... <_< wouldn't help with parking either...

After the last contest against the blues, my mouth is watering already... Suggested date from the organisers on both sites is Sunday, 1 February. Any objections ?? We also need to name the trophy ... I do not like "the Warnock Brothers Tankard" because we do not know yet if one or both brothers will become long-term players at their respective clubs. I prefer "the Duke", named after Earl Spalding, who gave great service to both clubs, but I don't want to impose my will ... before giving people the opportunity to agree with me... All posters welcome to put in their two cents' worth...

sorry... it was me that mentioned the idea of retirement ( although I did not mention the "R" word)... I was thinking 2035 or, maybe 2036... or redleg's death ( whichever happens earlier)... there is a symbiosis between wise and redleg that we should hope will continue forever...
