just had a response from my only filth mate, pringle... and he says you do not appear to be a very nice fellow... he also says the pies will put up a good performance, as long as the majority of their players can get day passes... (I agreed with him, you are not nice, and told him to target your hammies - he replied that even the collingwood inmates do not target children (??!!)...

great work, brett... sign up the boundary umpys asap and let me know... will get back to you about the field umpy situation asap, but it requires contact with the other forums (which takes time)... thanks again... hey, mercado... nobody has died on us yet... you have some weeks to get in shape... alternatively, you could continue the way you are, and still play and star, like others in previous seasons, such as pringle's brother, BL2381 (retired, exhausted) and Deanox (social and occasional rugby player who surprised everyone including himself with a fistful of goals and lethal tackles)... it does not do to under-rate the opposition, but we should not over-rate them either... diclaimer : I have helped to organise all past games, but have never played in them...

my despairing post has finally fired-up the pies... we now have a bloke we can talk to, they may agree to play at gosch's paddock (which will have goal posts by game day), and they are still hoping vic park may be available... still too early to post a game thread IMO, but will (hopefully) be able to do so soon... regards, rollo
