Surprised you're a fan given his history of work tbh. Each to his own though.

Surprised to find you reading that trash SWYL... 😉

  6. !00%. Mentioned by the commentary team (might have even been Daisy) that the players getting so around him after his goal was likely because it was reward for all those selfless things he does.
  7. Not sure a reporter doesn't report on team news based on their perception of said players mental health though. Sure, if it was a personal story on Hunter or something with gossip and innuendo, but as far as I can tell Morris reported a footballer was not picked in the round 1 side. Pretty relevant news for a football journo I would think. I would think team news does not fit in the 'fill a void' category, in fact it's really more of what footy journos are meant to be doing.
  8. Don't recall Morris reporting Hunter was dropped for mental health reasons though? Might have missed it, I didn't follow the story very closely. Just seems like he reported the team changes, which is pretty stock-in-trade for footy journos I'd have thought.
  9. I don't think May is a pure stay at home defender. He's one of the best in the league at leaving his man and was 2nd (behind Lever) for average intercepts for us in 2021. Definitely could be Tomo that comes out, just wouldn't be my personal preference.
  10. Can anyone also explain what the soft cap has to do with anything?
  11. See my comments above mate. Just my personal opinion that the key backs combo works better with a more 'stay at home' defender. Won't be upset if Joel plays, I like him.
  12. Goody's hopeful he'll be right for next round (10 day break)
  13. I don't think he's bad at all, I've always quite liked him, but I'm just not a fan of having May, Lever and Smith as the key backs combo. I just think they end up spoiling each other a bit. Just my take though. I like having Petty or Tomo as the 3rd key as they're a bit more meat and potatoes, one on one types.
  14. Don't forget the apparent 'conflict of interest' because he barracks for the Dees...
  15. Don't reckon you are mate. Every person I've heard comment so far thinks it's absolutely appalling. The irony of Bevo going on about 'mental health' while he bullies and belittles someone in their workplace is outrageous.
  16. Absolutely cooked. Looked a bit not himself either did Bevo IMO. Just seemed 'off'.
  17. G'day mate, appreciate the insult, but my reasoning for having him coming out was I prefer All-Australian defender Jake Lever personally. Cheers.
  18. Yeah that's probably fair mate. I've just never been a fan of the trio of May, Lever and Smith. I just reckon you need a more one on one type like Petty or Tommo to balance them out. That's just me though. Definitely could be Tommo for Lever.
  19. Yikes. Bevo has lost the plot tonight. Anyone else catch that presser? WTF!
  20. IN: Hibberd (wasn't far off apparently), Lever, Rivers OUT: Salem (inj), Smith, Bedford Hunt as sub.

Sorry, I meant the original strain not Delta, my bad there. Edited my post, but you beat me to it! Just think the whole 'mild' thing has been totally oversold. How do we know the long term effects are mild when it's only a few months old? Agree the evidence says if you're vaccinated the chances of severe disease or death are low, I just don't agree with it being labelled mild or benign when that's not been the experience of most people I know and we still have people dying from that strain. I mean, we have to find ways to move forward and get on with things, but for mine, I don't think labeling it as mild is helpful to the people dealing with it.
  23. Perhaps the tactical discussions weren't shown? Can't imagine any coach wanting to give away much in that area. I mean, each video covers about a quarter of the time covered, and within that the coaches get a few snippets. Pretty surprised with some on here getting a bit ahead of themselves with putting down Beveridge. Has as many flags as Goody.

Based on what evidence? Most of the science says it's as impactful as the original strain. Anecdotally, the majority of my family had Omicron over the last 2 weeks, ages varying from 1 through to 35, all of them had a period of 2-3 days where they were totally bedridden and struggled to even walk to the bathroom. Borderline call with the 1 year old having to get an ambulance, but fortunately his mother (a nurse) was able to get the kid through the night. All adults had had 3 shots.
