  1. Hey fellas. Greeting from Singapore. I want to add to the podcast love and say thank you for your thoughtful and considered analysis of the games. You see so much more from a tactical standpoint than I see with my kick the bloody thing mentality when it comes to watching footy games. I was rapt that Jayden Hunt was recalled to the team especially after his late season injury last year that effectively robbed him of a Premiership medal in my humble opinion. I reckon he adds that bit of pace that we lack off half back and though the wings and midfield. I think he's improved his delivery immensely from a few years back. Our back 6 or 7 this week seemed really settled this week and seem to be back firing on all cylinders. Hunt also provides some flexibility to the team because I reckon he can be swung forward in a pinch if we need to add some spark. Not suggesting he play forward as he is clearly in the side to be a defender and play that role. Just saying he has some more strings to the bow. Do you see a role for him in this side going into Finals?
  2. If a small section of unrulies are drowning the cheersquad out this only further proves the OP's contention. I don't believe anyone is blaming the cheersquad for the loss or not appreciating the time and effort they put in. They are there every week through thick and thin. They volunteer their time and put in a lot off effort at home and interstate. That being said, they are pretty tame and have been shown up 2 weeks in a row by a smaller away crowd. It's not just the cheersquad that is tame it is the rest of the Dees fans in the stadium. Two interstate teams have been much louder that us. We all should be ashamed of ourselves. Again none of this is the reason we lost.
  3. Spot on analysis again guys. It's my go to Demons podcast each week. Living abroad and unable to get such indepth analysis of Dees matches except from clips here and there on social media I really rely heavily on your podcast to sort the wheat from the chaff. Thanks to all involved.
  4. May I ask when and why you chose the Dees?
  5. I used to really like the Brisbane Bears but strangely I hate the Brisbane Lions. I also used to like the Swans when they first moved to Sydney but not so much anymore. I just can't like any of the other Victorian teams and as i've travelled interstate over the years to other venues I began to hate interstate opposition fans and hence I started to hate the teams too.
  6. I was pinning all my hopes on them as they were the least offensive options of the Prelims.
  7. Should be an option for nil all draw or COVID cancellation (kidding --- sort of). Pains me to say but I think the Cats will roll the Tigers. I can't pin my finger on it but the Tiges haven't shown the same hunger this year. Cats just keep keeping on. I'll turn the telly off at the siren as I refuse to watch Scott's smug face hold up the cup. First Goal? Mitch Duncan for some value for money at $34. Norm Smith? If the little Master even has a sniff of a decent game and the cats win he is a shoe in. Paying $21 too. Lock it in Eddie.
  8. That's always been my impression of him but great players like him must loathe watching other teams play finals year in year out. The thing that puzzles me about this rumour is the Carlton part. They are no closer than us. At times I think they are ahead but they always end up disappointing. I guess they make a good sale pitch with their facilities and history (in terms of Big 4 club) but they don't have any more current runs on the board. Now if the rumour was the Saints I'd be more worried as they've clearly overtaken us. I'd be [censored] myself if the rumour was the Cats or Tigers.
  9. How do board appointments work? Don't the members have a say or do you vote in a President and their ticket and then they make any necessary changes during their term? When is the next election?
  10. I like the idea of bringing in Ben Brown. Assuming he wants to come to us and we can do a deal with North is this contingent on us offloading Tommy Mac? Can we get Brown if we can't get rid of Tom? Where does that leave the other Brown? I was impressed with Mitch in the little we saw of him. He works hard up the ground and can take a mark. I know he's getting up there in age but he presents better than Macca at the moment.
  11. I dare say he won't be the only one to walk or request a trade. If we fail to make finals again next year they'll be a line out the door.
  12. If we miss finals and Goody stays there 1000% has to be a clean out around him. We need to go after the best assistants. I'm surprised there isn't a Is Richo the Right Guy thread because I really don't want him taking over mid-2021 when Goody inevitably gets the [censored].
  13. I assume it get leaked out knowingly by the club or by someone within the club. Not necessarily nefariously. Occasionally someone on here posts injury news before it gets out publicly.
  14. I really wish we could have traded an established player for a high draft pick when King was available in the draft.
  15. If we're not going to be playing games in front of crowds and watching them on the telly, do you think we should request that we play some home games down at Casey? Perhaps against the interstate teams. Maybe Geelong to give them a taste of their own medicine. Maybe I've been in lockdown for too long. Stay safe Demon Fans.
  16. Best not to take the bait and argue with these misogynists whose fragile male egos can't handle women who are most likely better at footy than they ever dreamed to be.
  17. Has the camp finished and when are they next training in Melbourne?
  18. Without putting too much pressure on these guys I think all three of them will get a call up at some point this year.
