Technicality: He would have been wearing #15 😉
Yes, in the 1964 GF, had he played, he’d have been wearing 15. He won the B&F wearing 31 in 1968, having switched from 15 in 1965.

Recency bias? The GF is fresh in our memories and yes, Fritter had a great year.
But are we forgetting that Ray Groom won the 1968 B&F? No mean feat. He’s the only 31 to do that since Barassi.
Had he not been injured in 1964, he’d also be a Premiership player.
I am old enough to remember him playing and he was a serious talent.

our very own NATHAN JONES!! Speaks well , knows the game and players and would provide a sense of realism and brevity, not to mention current footballing knowledge!! Plus he is GENUINE! People relate to that!
Speaks bloody well, knows the bloody game and would provide a sense of bloody realism, etc.

Love it. Did anyone else notice Oliver’s terrible ball drop on that last goal? Sometimes everything goes right. 😀

So he’s negative about it?

Dear all… now that I’ve watched all of the Demons’ finals games multiple times (11 for the GF alone), I am very proud that the boys never resorted to rough play or arrogant grand-standing. What an amazing bunch of young men we have! If only one of them could have married one of my three intelligent and beautiful daughters.

Also, I wouldn’t have paid the mark to JJ over Bowey, Bont clearly touches the ball first.
And JJ clearly put his hands on Bowey’s shoulders. Watch Bowey… he’s expecting to get a free kick.

Having fun, boys?

Basically. Though I left out the part where I spend most of my time chatting to a smart-mouthed woodpecker perched in the hole of a cactus oozing the essence of Morgan Freeman.
Are you sure that’s original? I think I read that one.

Haha, an unexpected haymaker from the cheap seats. The tab over from this one on my computer is the novel I'm writing about a somewhat distorted character who shares my basic bio being stuck in the post-apocalyptic Mojave desert setting of one of my earlier novels after being digitally recreated by a troop of simian Google acolytes who misinterpret my internet browsing history. .
A true story, then.

Anyone with lingering doubts about Goody should listen to how Burgo speaks about him.

Thank you so much. Excellent work, as always. I’ll miss these podcasts over the off-season and look forward to their return next year.

Hi Dipper.
Well, yes. A sort of Anglo version of that name.

I’m not a hyphen but my surname is so long I could easily fit in two or three.

left field option could be charlie spargo
Charlie won’t wear out his kicking leg. But as long as he keeps finding a teammate inside 50, that’s fine by me.

Think Oliver will be the next to 300, pretty robust.
I think we’d all love that. But first we have to keep him. Wouldn’t it be great if he signed a contract similar to Trac’s?!

So in Robbo’s view, the sixth best player won the Brownlow and there are three Demons in front of him (plus one ineligible).

If Stephen Milne still played, he'd be a shoe in.
Agree. (Except that it’s a shoo-in. As in ‘‘shoo… shoo… get in there’’)
Sorry, i couldn’t help myself. I see this all the time and it drives me crazy.

I think big Benny already has two records at Melbourne. Most games (13) and most goals (25) in jumper #50.

Bypass it ;)
If you're using a desktop/laptop you can install the following extension into Firefox/Chrome/Edge and it will bypass the paywalls.
https://github.com/iamadamdev/bypass-paywalls-chromeI downloaded the app but then was totally confused about what to do. Ended up deleting the app. It’s harder for us old folk.

I just thought a professional market research firm could see the flawed methodology. Maybe I went wrong when I thought “professional”. 😀

Doubt the owner is a Demons supporter, because name is spelled as though a Collingwood supporter was in charge of the crayon...
