  1. I know Richmond gave Brisbane their only loss for the season but the Lions should win the rematch by around 100pts if they're switched on. Tigers had a pretty easy draw that helped them finish with a double chance. Anyone outside the top three this year really are making up the numbers.
  2. Hi Deemented. If that's true then my guess is that it was a late call by the AFL when they saw Brisbane were likely to finish top and not be able to host at the Gabba. Likewise if Adelaide had finished top there is no way they'd be telling them the GF is moving to Melbourne.
  3. You'd think the AFL might be privately disappointed that they're now looking at a Queensland GF with the likely venue being Metricon in front of two girls and a dog. They'd get 10+k at Marvel.
  4. I'm thankful I don't have to deal with at least one of those issues Daisy.
  5. I check in every now and again only to find out that the discussion has moved on to how good the new Fetid Putrescence album is or that the Necrophiliac Spawn are playing at Satan Fest next year. Fascinating stuff.
  6. I think the name of this thread will need to be changed. I don't think anyone has mentioned someone's username since page 2.
  7. Funnily enough, that's how they'd probably go about doing it. The DFB don't allow teams to be named after corporate entities so officially the RB stands for RasenBallsport (grass ball sport).
  8. Hi Buck. As long as they don't buy your club and rename it RB Leipzig, RB Salzburg or New York Red Bulls and change the kit to their corporate colours. They are despised by the other Bundesliga clubs for this very reason. German clubs are supposed to be 50%+1 owned by their fans so that no company can have a controlling interest in their decision making process. Red Bull got around this by purchasing what was then a lower league amateur team in Leipzig, limiting it's membership to just 21 people, many of who are unknown but suspected to be associated to the company so they could control it by proxy.
  9. The guy to Ross Lyon's left at his presser has a weird accent that I just can't place. Is he from another country or is it just some poncey private school thing?
  10. Pies will have to take home the bacon or kick a few sausage rolls next week if we're to snag top spot.
  11. Fair play to them. It's a long bus ride from Broadmeadows to Cranbourne.
  12. Sounds like there's a few bomber ferals in the crowd on the grandstand side of the ground.
  13. Nobody’s perfect WCW 😉
  14. He lives in Canterbury in Kent. I’d pass him in the street a lot when I lived there. Might give that a read Sir.
  15. Hi WCW. I figured it was safe to enter the conversation now that it seems to have moved on from death metal. I just had to google Grandmaster Flash. He’s a hip hop dj apparently (more uncharted territory for me unfortunately). Edge is a lead guitarist so I’m not sure where the similarity is but I will look him up online later and steer you in the direction of Edge’s guitar solos in the middle of live versions of The Fly and Mysterious Ways.
  16. Have to disagree with you there Demon WA. Nobody is close to The Edge. 😉
  17. Who else read the part about him being disillusioned by the team be barracked for as they were perennial losers and just assumed it was us. Then to find out it was Carlton who he also trialled with and who are now on the up again yet he still preferred to come to us. Happy days.
  18. Apparently Ernie Merrick, ex Melbourne Victory coach and mentor for Ratten at St K has been scathing about the club.
  19. Hi BBB. As is Gosch’s, which is now fit for purpose and he plays for us now.
  20. Perhaps he feels an obligation, what with the Pies still paying part of his wage.
  21. If the work at Gosch’s paddock is now finished why was Brodie Grundie training on the oval at the Holden Centre the other day?
  22. Hi Skort. Would that be the same Sophie Lee that played the sax in the band Freaked Out Flower Children? I saw them a couple of times on a Sunday night at the Cherry Tree in Cremorne back in the day. I think she was dating the lead singer, Gumpy, before she dated Mick Molloy.
  23. Encouraging to see the Gold Coast AFLW side getting crowds that rival the men's team.
  24. Our football department will become the sacked St Kilda coaches rehabilitation home if we pick him up. We've already got Richo.
  25. You'd think Robert Harvey would be their preferred choice to replace him.
