Agree. It's bloody tough to judge with such limited footage though. Even some of the more highly touted picks have only solid highlight tapes given the lack of games.

The no injuries stuff is a bit of a myth. Our first two choice talls come preason were Brown & Weid - neither played til at least round 7. Equally, Tomlinson going down could have completely stuffed us if we didn't have Petty waiting in the wings and ready to explode.

The forwardline talk always frustrated me. We were the 4th or 5th highest scoring team for the regular season, but had the worst accuracy. Didn't take a genius to realise what our issues were but the media conveniently seemed to miss it.
We have the biggest scope for improvement. Reckon the 2021 dogs are the best version of themselves, and hit their ceiling given the gaps on their list. Wouldn't be surprised if they drop back to the 5-8 spots. Brisbane, GWS ones to watch.

It's funny cause he's incredibly composed whilst still picking up the pace of the game. He'll feel like he has all the time in the world in year 2. Imagine two of your first home & away games being against West Coast in Perth, against Jeelong in Jeelong, followed by three finals. A baptism of fire.
At least you've narrowed it down
It somewhat worked in the first few rounds as the umpires actually gave players time to kick the footy. After a few weeks they went back to calling play two seconds after every mark, rushing the kicker.
