The Neale deal will get done most likely. What I meant was it won’t affect Melbourne if it does ... Hogan is not going to Fremantle this year. Bell will be holding on to pick 5 in the superdraft and either using it on a gun young player or trading it for multiple first round picks. Hogan to possibly go over in 12 months time at a cheaper price (yes even cheaper than 11 & future 2nd round). They (Hogan and Freo) likely already have a handshake agreement about this. That’s the plan that makes most sense for them IMO. I’d do the same if I were them. It’s a bummer because the Dees miss out on May as a result and retain a wantaway forward on the list for another year. Hopefully we can make the best of a difficult situation and win the 2019 flag with a professional Jesse giving his all for the cause throughout the season. Some guys are capable of that level of discipline before they jump clubs (Bryce Gibbs, Dangerfield) whereas others can’t cope with it mentally and their form dramatically slumps. We shall see which way Jesse goes.
