POSTGAME: GRAND FINAL vs Western Bulldogs
The Bont is a champion. But as my Dogs mate said 'We needed 4 Bonts'. Dees were a champion team.

And it would have been quicker except those goals in the last were from set shots which takes an extra 30 secs+. And Sparrows kick to Brown took so long to come to earth I had time to make a cappuccino.

2021 Player Reviews: #14 Michael Hibberd
A solid game in the finals. Fortune smiled on him in terms of team selection but after the personal year he had who would begrudge him that. Premiership player!!!!!

Totally agree though Clarrie and Trac are the best 'rovers' I have seen in red and blue.

Whats even more scarier is he is only 24 years and 3 months old. Getting better all the time.....

(*Also, I've been thinking Bowey's was another of the shortfall kicks in that passage; I reckon he was trying to spot up the mismatch between Brown and Daniel just past where Angus marked?) Was thinking the same but Bowey made the common mistake of thinking that our older forwards are much quicker than they are. Not only did Angus save the day but he kicked the goal!!!

For a change of pace I watched the prelim final. We came 1 point short of tripling their score. 1 thing in common with GF was Goody crying on the boundary line.

Thanks for the stats on the bottom 6. No real surprises except for Rivers and Sparrow. Amazing how you can play a great game and not get much of it.

Sure has though any kid at the local primary who is good at sport can be offered or is encouraged to apply for a sports scholarship at the local grammar school.

2021 Player Reviews: #10 Angus Brayshaw
Angus had a great finals series. Who would have thought he would kick the goal to put us in front.

POSTGAME: GRAND FINAL vs Western Bulldogs
No. After what I had drunk (to calm the nerves) storming was not an option. I did let out my best plaintive Aw C'mon Dees. I will confess to saying to the Mrs when Angus was having that shot on goal 'Get ready to catch this'.

rpfc's Schadenfreude Corner
Even I could see that Fritta had AFL potential. Sounds like just an excuse. If he was hidden it was in plain sight. Perhaps he had some baggage. Can i say that I was amazed that a player of this caliber was still available so late in the draft (usually means you have picked a stinker).

POSTGAME: GRAND FINAL vs Western Bulldogs
If memory serves me correctly I think Bob Rose said when the Pies finally saluted in 1990 : Is this it? Thats not me. So happy from when ANB kicked us to a 42 point lead. Party party party. Extended family on Whatsup or what ever went delerious. My last thoughts at night are game higlights and guess what I am thinking of when I get up. Feel great towards all past players and the MFC family. Though I have stopped yelling PETRACCA.

Even more disrespectful if you confuse Patrick with his brother Tom? Agree on the gloating though....
