2025 AFL Rising Star Candidates
Fritta and Turner replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
Thanks the zero hanger definition is a touch ambiguous as they left out 'at the start of the season'. Players are required to be under 21 years of age as of January 1, 2025 and must have played no more than 10 career games at the start of the season to be eligible for the Rising Star. -

From the article the eligibility criteria is : Players are required to be under 21 years of age as of January 1, 2025 and must have played no more than 10 career games already to be eligible for the Rising Star. This means Tholstrup is eligible provided he doesnt play a game. 😁 -
Demolition work has started on the new school site.

Most of the current board only joined in 2020 or after; none of the current board were there in 2018; Pert is gone

Um where do you get them? Any of disco?

Merry Christmas everyone. Looking forward to the new year. Go Dees.

Nice try but no cigar. If the MFC dont have access through the tunnel, the major vehicle access point to the inside of the course, then neither will the MRC. Furthermore the Trust leasing out a piece of land that no one can access is an interesting idea. Whats next?

Don't disagree with that, though it does depend on how you pitch it (AFLW, Umpiring?) and what benefits to the local community are included. I always thought this proposal would pass/fail on the $$$. I am impressed that the club is committing $15 mil already and raising $10 mil from supporters - I think I have got that right?

Or more importantly where are the conspiracy theories about Salem and that suit, is Tom Sparrow on the outer, whats with the shades Angus, and who are those faces in the background above Clarries head. (And if you listen to the audio of the GF backwards it clearly states that Tracc will marry in the gardens). Believe it or not. What are they putting in the eggnog these days. All the best Tracca

PRESEASON TRAINING: Monday 16th December 2024
Fritta and Turner replied to picket fence's topic in Melbourne Demons
Obviously not an ideal day for training with the heat and strong wind but..... The boys were out early at 9.30. The shed was packed with iced ddrinks. The full squad participated in the drills for about the first 45 minutes with the exception of McAdam (absent feeling a bit crook) and Woey (on the bike and then watched on). George in nos 23. All the drills this year emphasied fast ball movement, winningb the contest in the middle and then passing to the fwd. Considering the conditions this drill went well. It was great to see Spargs (not Charles ok) participating. After about 45 minutes Spargo, Lever , Sestan, Lindsay (Xave), Turner and Fullarton pulled out. Sestan had something checked out then joined back in, Spargo, Lever and Lindsay on a modified program, Turner had a foot issue and not sure about Fullarton. AJ looked like he had face planted in a bucket of sunscreen Viney asked them to keep the noise up and Spargs replied with 'fffff yeah. Tracca no legionaires hat Roo tackles well. I would give me left leg to be able to kick like Fritta. Had a quick word with TMc who said his brother Oscar was doing well. Left about 11.15 with drills still going and Langford, Mentha and AJ running the boundary. The boys look fit and the vibe is good, About 20-30 track watchers in attendance.- 151 replies

Dont be ridiculous -
Why? they arnt paying the money to the Council or the trust, they are paying it to the MRC
-
Somewhere in all the documentation I have read I think it stated that the MRC were paying $100k pa for use of the cCrown Land....which would probably be just enough to pay the 'stipends' of the trust members.
