Needs to get body on him, or come in from the side with a fly at the ball. I think he didn't show him much respect, and was out timed and muscled.

McVee played on him in the 1st half and the start of the 3rd. Then I think Rivers took him for the rest.

When he got himself in trouble/confused could have found a short pass and not do it all on his own. Tiges kicked 3 straight. Momentum/tempo control needs a team effort.

Updated my post, no injuries. Last season we would let the opposition back in the game. I am hoping we have changed this year.

I think they know, but I seem to be the only supporter. They have opened upstairs, but no commentary, and the commentary in downstairs areas cannot be heard.

At the Sporting Globe now. Upstairs has a private function. Downstairs has reserved tables everywhere. Rugby, boxing, horses with one small tv, other than the boxes, with AFL, NO SOUND. Spoke to the manager, he will try and find a tv with seat. Not holding my breath. Commentaries are ON.

Interested to see if Spargo gets some midfield time, since Viney is out, and I think he is the best like for like swap.

I know it leaves a space for other mids, but! There is not a same for same replacement. No-one goes as hard as Jack. Who is going to get under the pack? He seems to have set himself for a big year, training hard, setting examples for the young ones. He can turn games in our favour. I was believing he could be our B&F this year. (Yes, ahead of Tracc, Clarry and Max) A full preseason interrupted at the last hurdle. Great it is not foot related.

It is not about offence for me, more about disapproval. I am not offended. Sexualization is fun, exciting, titillating, my problem is that, I'd prefer it's expression to be behind closed doors. Who wants to see me or you, fondling or being fondled, not me? I guess I'm a bit of a sexual puritan. Perhaps the times have changed, and public sexual expression is tolerated, and even enjoyed. I know it is on the very low side of a sexual image, but it is still a sexualised, with fun and freedom. Kissing or appropriate touching in public is usually an expression of care, love and sharing (I approve). Cupping someone in public, is an act of imposition, even with consent (I disapprove).

There are power imbalances, and they have to work together in the workplace. Consent may be compromised. Does this action show respect to the community and in particular the young womens, self, family and friends? Message sent is, a persons body can be sexualised, and they seem ok with that. Gee, Collingwood need to do some work helping their young adults, navigate the world and to develope virtues.

Yes, with the wind I think they tried to get it over the back as St.Kilda was able to do. Against the wind we were more calculated with the ball movement. In the third, the Saints played better footy. It was difficult to tell if we came out slow in the third, some of it was due to the Saints favourable wind advantage, but we didn't do as well with the stab passes into the forwards, like in the first. The goal kicking into the wind was difficult. The ball was ripped sideways for both teams. No-one thought about drilling it hard and low when goal kicking into the wind.

Thought we started the game with some semblance of lowering our eyes and hitting up with short and drilled passes. It was looking like a great change for us. It didn't last long, and as you say we, reverted to the long bomb into them. Hoping the game revue will show how we started, and they encourage them to keep lowering the eyes. Thus, creating the easy marks inside the 50. The long bomb is a panic, especially if they don't get any advantage for the forwards.

My guess is about 3 to 4 thousand. The stadium had a majority of Saints in them. The outer was a grassed area where it seemed a bit 50, 50. Many were not wearing any colours, they seem to be supporter's from of both teams. The attendance was pretty good, maybe touching 10 thousand. Saints will be Saints, saw a couple of their supporters jump the fence. (It was free entry) The RSAE field and club facilities were very good.

I think Burgoyne was number 44. Found separation, playing half forward flank, when gjven space he moves well and hits targets. Thought the connection with other players was lacking a few times, as he was by himself or doing run ons, but was not given the ball.

McVee played on Higgins most of the time. When Higgins was a high half-forward he followed him and beat him one on one, and also did the zoning where he covered two players (competed well when he had to go the ball), he also followed Higgins around the goal square area. Had great acceleration, stepped, shimmied, ran at good angles, competed in the air and hit targets that got the ball moving. He also pressed high up to just outside the forward 50 arc.
