They are playing in a GF. We are not. Seems a question for the sake of a question
  2. The Lake George hotel - Bungendore NSW
  3. Got a bit emotional reading this
  4. So nervous I had a longneck of Carlton in my hand by 11. Honestly if we don’t get up today I will be so proud of the boys and salivate at the thought of chucking hogan and lever back in the mix next year. having said that, there’s no guarantees we’ll ever be in a better spot to pinch a flag. There’s never any guarantees, look at Richmond. will be watching from my local pub in Bungendore with guernsey on and barracking like I’m at Optus. Go dee’s!!!
  5. Collingwood gee god boy wow
  6. Everything happens for a reason I guess
  7. http://www.afl.com.au/news/2018-09-21/the-behindthescenes-guy-who-rebuilt-the-dees Good article on a bloke who has been instrumental in our rise from the ashes
  8. Wonderful read. I reckon Goody is the right guy! (last time I'll reference that ridiculous thread I promise)
  9. In all seriousness, Perth is a pretty cool place. I worked out of the Swanbourne barracks in my army days for 3 years. Wonderful beaches (no surf tho) and good pubs (OBH and cott hotel are must-go's if your in town, beers while watching the sunset on the water is incredible). The city itself is underwhelming compared to Melbourne, although young whipper snappers would enjoy the nightlife in Northbridge. Wouldn't ever consider moving back but did enjoy my time there.
  10. I've seen a few junkys outside the Canberra probation reporting office that have more credibility than this website
  11. Smokeys guide to Perth: - Do not go to Perth, unless; - Demons are playing a prelim, in which case go straight from the airport and leave immediately after the game. Failure to do so may result in meth addiction.
  12. if fritsch out is true - it sounds like goody wants to go all-in on winning this game from the midfield ...
  13. Given our high pressure midfield game, I think there's something to be said for letting Hibbo be the intercept more rather than taking a tall 1v1. Our high intensity can result in average entires for the opposition team, so having Hibbo ready to chop is always handy
  14. I will struggle to understand Fritsch being dropped for Smith. Although I have a tremendous amount of faith in our club as a whole these days so perhaps we are missing some crucial circumstances that we demonlanders are not acquainted with at this stage. My logic is telling me Smith for Tyson and push Fritsch up to the wing. Time will tell.
  15. My heart says Collingwood in a nail biter, my head says Richmond by plenty.

Only the saddest of individuals use hindsight to lambaste strangers on the internet. Jog on mate, you're full of s|-|it.
  17. FWIW - I think the secret to who is the original owner of the ground is hidden in the naming. Melbourne Cricket Ground - ergo the MCC. Sure, we may have been the first footy team to play there. I'm not sure that really gives us the right to say we are the original owners of the ground in so many words. The first game of footy at the MCG wasn't for around 5 years after the site was established (correct me if I'm wrong please).
  18. It's not sanctimony mate, its just a respect thing. You're the one that felt the need to poke fun at the first people who inhabited the land the MCG sits on, not me. Take your ordinary sense of humor elsewhere perhaps.
  19. Baby boomer alert. It shouldn't surprise me but it always does for some reason.
  20. It’s funny how the media seem to go after our young star for ā€œstagingā€ when it is actually rife throughout the league in my opinion. Selwood, Rance and many others are far worse but don’t seem to cop the same heat. But hey, if clary doesn’t care then neither do I.
  21. Great read tbh
  22. I think Smith for Tyson is a no brainer. And that’s possibly a bit stiff on Tyson, because he wasn’t as bad as some have made him out to be on the weekend. The important thing is we will clearly need Smiths height and speed in the back. Tyson unlucky. As a side note - I cannot believe I’m reading a few posts on bringing back Hunt or Garlett. Bringing either of these players who have been below average all year and only serviceable at vfl level would be up there with the most ordinary selections I’ve seen in years.
  23. Lol shameless
  24. They are still mad about the fact they all had to sell their SS Commodore Utes and jet ski's after the mining money dried up and the state become largely irrelevant again.
