  1. Don't worry, I will! After no games last year, I want to go to every game this year, including interstate games. Can't afford to be left out of the loop re tickets!
  2. We are MCC/MFC members so I suspect someone forgot to include this (substantial) category of members in the mailout!
  3. Fair comment but do you agree that previous advice was that tickets would go on sale from the Monday before each round? Given that advice, why would I be googling for tickets at any time before that?
  4. My sister is a Canberra member and received no such emails.
  5. Posted where? I'm complaining about the lack of email notification. And why are some games only on Ticketmaster and some only on Ticketek? - very confusing IMHO.
  6. Going to Canberra at Easter for the GWS game. Accommodation booked and paid for. Car serviced and ready to go. Regularly checking the Ticketmaster site for game tickets. Call from my sister this morning to tell me that tickets had been on sale since last Thursday! She discovered this on the GWS website. Followed the GWS links to find only limited seats remaining, but thankfully snagged some (at $68 each!). Follow up searches revealed that there was access to tickets through the MFC site, but not on the Ticketmaster site. This raises a few questions for me. Firstly, I thought ticket sales for each round were scheduled to begin at 9.00am on the Monday preceding each round, not on a Thursday four days earlier. Secondly, why were MFC members not notified by email that tickets were on sale, particularly if they were not going to be available from Ticketmaster? Thirdly, why are tickets so expensive? My seats are "Category 2", so not even the "best" available. Smells like a rip off to me. But I guess that I should be glad that I obtained tickets at all given the lack of communication from the club.
  7. Adam won me as a fan on a hot day last December as I ran around the Tan. I was going at a reasonable pace (4:45 per km) when two big blokes went thundering past me. It was Adam and Brayden Preuss doing 1 kilometre repetitions together (i.e. 1 km hard, rest, turn around, run 1 km hard back, rest, turn etc). They are both massive units and seeing them going at somewhere around 3:00-3:30 per km pace was truly intimidating, but very impressive at the same time. I caught up with them as they rested at the end of a rep and of course greeted Adam with the required "Go Dees". I loved seeing one of our men working so hard on his pre-season fitness.
  8. 6. Salem 5. Oliver 4. Gawn 3. Langdon 2. Petracca 1. Pickett
  9. Jeez, you are a sad sack. Nothing wrong with pumping up someone's tyres or being a dreamer about future possibilities. Much better than being pessimistic and negative.
  10. As the original poster of this thread, I'm glad that 99% of supporters agree with me. MD is clearly wrestling with a different type of demon, I hope he finds the help that he needs. I will be watching Luke Jackson's development closely over the next few years and expect it to be a most enjoyable ride.
  11. Watching this guy in the last quarter, I honestly believe that he is our next bona fide superstar. Quiet for three quarters, then someone or something flicked the switch. His marking became clean and precise, and his delivery by hand was perfect. He will improve his set shot kicking I'm sure, and will boot a few bags in the future.
  12. 6 May 5 Lever 4 McDonald 3 Oliver 2 Spargo 1 Petracca
  13. 6 May 5 Lever 4 ANB 3 Fritsch 2 Gawn 1 Langdon
  14. My moniker says it all. He was ...... magic. My profile pic is from his book. I was there, another cold day at Princes Park, Robbie in his trademark long sleeves, floating over Jezza to mark.
  15. Which reinforces why I don't believe it. Of the players mentioned, I think Pickett would be the quickest off the mark by far. The bigger bodied players would obviously take longer to get their wheels turning.
  16. Still b-s I'm afraid, because even when Usain ran the world record, it took him around 25 metres to reach Salem's alleged speed. So this statistic asks us to believe that somehow an AFL footballer, who doesn't look overly quick to me, can run as fast as Usain Bolt is going at 25m into his world record run. I don't think so!
  17. I call b-s on these results. Salem's speed converts to 10.34sec for 100m. Only a handful of trained Australian sprinters (five to be exact) ran faster than that over 100m in 2019, and only three this year so far. And before you say the above speeds are likely to be over much shorter distances, a 100m sprinter doesn't reach top speed until around 80m into a race. It's just impossible to run the above speeds over a short distance, say 10 metres, from a standing or even a moving start. An AFL footballer in full flow might look fast to us, but only a select few players in the AFL would be able to run under 11 seconds for 100m.
  18. @Dr.D everyone here is aware of Jack's good and bad points as a footballer, but you are clearly unaware of your own mean-spirited behaviour.
  19. Another sad piece of news in this s--t of a year. Always loved watching him play, very angry when the club traded him. Wishing him a happy and bright future in whatever he chooses to do.
  20. Has to be a joke. Oh sorry, I forgot that the AFL is a joke.
  21. Gold @binman ???
  22. He had a couple of neat taps to Viney when he had very modest opposition. 26 hitouts is not a huge tally. Only four marks, all on the wing I think. He played well, but so did the other players receiving (serious) votes. Noted that several others have left Max out of their votes.
  23. Brown? - calm and reliable
  24. Sir, you cannot be serious, there are many ahead of Fritter in the possible trades queue.
