  1. Does anyone still seriously hold that Weideman is up to AFL standard?
  2. Yes it is and we play well there. I don't think the Lions have played there very often so I reckon that gives us an advantage.
  3. Dare to dream ...

  6. In early rounds, I had the experience of completing my order and being kicked off, but it was because I wasn't putting in the number of seats for each MCC member for whom I was buying tickets (myself and siblings). But for the last two or three rounds, buying my seats has been a breeze. With regard to your delay today, maybe I just got lucky and logged in at a time when the system was working?
  7. In defence of Ticketek, I logged on at about 10.00am, "bought" my three MCC Reserve seats and logged out. Smooth transaction, took about 60 seconds from start to finish.

  9. 6. Salem - my God, how did he not win the medal FFS??? 5. Petracca 4. Oliver 3. Jackson 2. Lever 1. McDonald
  10. Here's my contribution from 2017. Watch it without sound, the backing song is pretty silly even though it's about someone called Nathan Jones. And yes, Jonesy once had hair!
  11. Tom was genuinely hungry for the ball on Saturday. I thought he played a fantastic game, our second best behind Gawn IMHO. He covered a massive amount of territory, one minute he was down forward, I looked away and suddenly he was in the backline. One of the great things about being at the game is that you see things not obvious on TV. He just kept running all day, either clunking marks or making a contest. As one who thought he might be past his best last year, I'm delighted to see the real TMac standing tall. I'd back putting him on the wing, moving Brayshaw into the middle and giving Jordon a rest.
  12. Anyone who didn't give Max the six votes wasn't watching the game.

  14. Interesting interview with a wonderful player. Not yet ready to change my moniker to "Langdon Magic", but give me a flag this year and maybe I will!

  17. I think it's because she's an MCC/MFC member.
  18. Don't worry, I will! After no games last year, I want to go to every game this year, including interstate games. Can't afford to be left out of the loop re tickets!
  19. We are MCC/MFC members so I suspect someone forgot to include this (substantial) category of members in the mailout!
  20. Fair comment but do you agree that previous advice was that tickets would go on sale from the Monday before each round? Given that advice, why would I be googling for tickets at any time before that?
  21. My sister is a Canberra member and received no such emails.
  22. Posted where? I'm complaining about the lack of email notification. And why are some games only on Ticketmaster and some only on Ticketek? - very confusing IMHO.
  23. Going to Canberra at Easter for the GWS game. Accommodation booked and paid for. Car serviced and ready to go. Regularly checking the Ticketmaster site for game tickets. Call from my sister this morning to tell me that tickets had been on sale since last Thursday! She discovered this on the GWS website. Followed the GWS links to find only limited seats remaining, but thankfully snagged some (at $68 each!). Follow up searches revealed that there was access to tickets through the MFC site, but not on the Ticketmaster site. This raises a few questions for me. Firstly, I thought ticket sales for each round were scheduled to begin at 9.00am on the Monday preceding each round, not on a Thursday four days earlier. Secondly, why were MFC members not notified by email that tickets were on sale, particularly if they were not going to be available from Ticketmaster? Thirdly, why are tickets so expensive? My seats are "Category 2", so not even the "best" available. Smells like a rip off to me. But I guess that I should be glad that I obtained tickets at all given the lack of communication from the club.
  24. Adam won me as a fan on a hot day last December as I ran around the Tan. I was going at a reasonable pace (4:45 per km) when two big blokes went thundering past me. It was Adam and Brayden Preuss doing 1 kilometre repetitions together (i.e. 1 km hard, rest, turn around, run 1 km hard back, rest, turn etc). They are both massive units and seeing them going at somewhere around 3:00-3:30 per km pace was truly intimidating, but very impressive at the same time. I caught up with them as they rested at the end of a rep and of course greeted Adam with the required "Go Dees". I loved seeing one of our men working so hard on his pre-season fitness.
