  1. This thread is infuriating. People need to up their medication if they think Watts is staying. Geez!! This thread is about what we will get in return, not if he will stay or not
  2. I believe they will be giving us a late first/early 2nd round pick back to equalise that trade LT
  3. you can say that..if you think that oscar mcdonald is likely to win a friggin brownlow. lol! i'd say lever is a 95% chance of earning AA honours at some point in his career. Oscar Mcdonald 0%. if you want me to rephrase i'll say you compared Lever, 'a likely AA in the future, who has already made the AA squad, to Oscar mcdonald.
  4. people still thinking he's going to stay? LOL. We'll accept anything to get him out the door. The club doesn't want him, get it through your minds!
  5. wrong. he has regularly shown to be a deer in the headlights and a poor decision maker.
  6. close minded people Just see the age and get put off. We have guys like Trengove, Kennedy-Harris and to be honest even Tyson and Vince were pretty dreadful this season. Gibson trumps them all by a fair margin. It's not like our list is impeccable. We came 9th people.
  7. If you're in the squad at 21/22 years old then it's fair to assume.
  8. agree 100% with you Scoop Junior. People need some perspective here. Sure we missed out on finals this year but people do forget just how bad we were. Most of our games were over at 1/4 time. Whether it be 5 goals to 0, 7 goals to 2..etc. we were pathetic. Roos brought us back to relevancy. People should be grateful!
  9. Did you just compare Lever, a future AA who has already been named in the AA squad to Oscar McDonald who so far has yet to prove he belongs on an AFL field? Yikes!
  10. 18ish? thats assuming we win the flag. i think pick 13 is closer to the mark. so it would be: out: pick 10 (this year), pick 13 (next year) jack watts in: lever, pick 18 (this year)
  11. why? because he was playing like an AA last year?
  12. and the people that know jack the best. the mfc coaches and managers.
  13. this is the gibson thread, not the watts thread
  14. we also need players that play 4 qtr footy and losses to freo, coll, kangaroos twice and almost losing to carlton and brisbane suggest we need some intensity around the ball.
  15. because he has averaged high 20's before and we are a high possession team.
  16. Meh, both fringe players. JW definitely is more valuable but we just want him gone so yeah, we will get 'unders' for him
  17. Goodwin has barely said anything bad about Watts. He never mentioning anything specific about Watts not being professional, having no training standards, being soft at the footy etc. All he said was that he was in a 'rut'. Implying that he is in a form slump and maybe a new environment is a win win for everyone (truer words have never been said!). That's the nicest explanation anyone can offer. i've never understood people saying Goodwin didn't handle it right.
  18. I'd be stoked with that. I'm sure we'd pass that pick 21 and pick on to Lever though just to sweeten it. Also, whats your source or just spinning sh!t
  19. Gibson would be great. He came 6th in the Best and Fairest in a team that beat us twice. God help us. But he averages 22 touches a game and I think could average but up towards 27 or 28 in our system. Tackles strongly but has outside run which we need. He would be cheap as chips so I think it's definitely worth it. I'm sure we'll be looking at him.
  20. lol, touche, but that's a reputation they now hold. And it sticks.
  21. So naive. The aim of the trade period isn't to rip every other club off like dogs fighting for a bone. Clubs are constantly are working with each other and need to be harmonious in order to get trades done. If you keep low balling everyone then you develop into a club that no-one wants to work with. Surely you could've figured this out yourself. It's like technically, we could offer Adelaide nothing for Jake Lever and pick him up in the pre-season draft but that's not how trading works guys.
  22. i'm sorry but you cant use injury as an excuse. he was picked in the team and you're not in the team unless you're physically good to go. Viney, came top 5 and was clearly carrying a severe injury. You are either injured and don't play or just grit your teeth and bloody perform. playing and using injury as an excuse is pathetic. Jack isn't using it as an excuse, but some supporters on here are
  23. dude, let it go. he's getting traded. geez, these friggin school holidays
  24. what is your point? Gawn was horrible this year.
  25. 21st place. thats about where he's at actually. one of the last to get picked in the 22.
