  1. Possible ruptured achilles tendon. If so, season ending. Very sad day today.
  2. Agreed. The away strip is the jumper that clashes with the saints. It's not that ---king hard.
  3. Since we don't have too much to savour this year, I though I'd post some videos that tickle the senses. Greatest comeback of all time: Running Wild: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-PGY-W9yeLk Queens BDAY Bloodbath: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8-27a7CD-Fc...feature=related Wrecker Carn the DEES!
  4. I think some people have missed the point of the thread. I'm not asking people to defend themselves. Lets all use some common sense. I mean if you have Sunday junior footy, a family commitment or even had a massive night before and cant stomach walking to the MCG is no-ones business but your own. But that is irrelevant anyway. I'm talking as group. Collectively. I am making a general comment on the fact that I honestly believe that the future of this clubs rests in the hands of the supporters. As as such we need to be there for the good and the bad. In any case, I look forward to watching the Dees play every week, no matter how much I curse, rant, rave and despair at various points in time. Hopefully the majority out there feel the same. Explaining why you were absent from the game is a perculiar thing to do in the context of this thread imo. Please don't misunderstand me, I am not a bitter member who goes to every game year in year out. And judges people who don't do the same. For the record, being a MelbourneFC forum, I legitimately believe those on here enjoy going to the footy and do so often. And not only to "support" but for their own enjoyment (hopefully). And I'd also like to add that the roar of the crowd when Robbo kicked a goal, the cries of delight when Davy stepped on the pedal, the cries for blood when Moloney put Buddy on his ass, the approval from the crowd when Holland came off, the applause for Green and the many other courageous players on who Sunday backed into a pack and finally, the acknowledgement and thanks the crowd (including many Hawkers) gave to our champion Neita, made me as proud as I have been in a long time to support this great club. Go Dees!
  5. Since I was in a rather large round with a few mates, next time introduce yourself and you might get in on it... lol, much respect.
  6. This is a non-issue. Please do not discuss it. Relocation has never been on the radar, and just because a single person decided to mentioned it, doesn't mean it should become an issue. My two cents anyway.
  7. Fantastic effort by the boys today. Very proud.
  8. I'm not going to waste much more of my time talking because all MelbourneFC and everyone to do with it seem to do is talk.I will get straight to the point. What an embarrassment that only 40k turned up today. Not only farewell someone whose heart beats truer than any of us, but make a statement to all concerned, that this this proud club is not going anywhere. Ever. In this humble supporters opinion I think its an absolute disgrace. Don't bother voicing your opinion, lamenting our poor season, judging our coach, president, football department or players past and present, if you can't turn up to a Melbourne v Hawthorn game on a Sunday, when not only are we farewelling a true champion of our club, a person who embodies everything which should be MFC, but when our pride is at stake. Understand the future of MFC is in the hands of the supporters. No one else. Understand that.
  9. Hear hear to all those who has posted. Without a doubt the greatest and most valuable Melbourne player of recent times. You played footy the way it should be played in the Red and Blue - in every sense. All the best post footy. Go Dees.
  10. That doesn't make much sense to me. The past 6 rounds are not indicative of an entire decade. I do have an issue with what he said.
  11. http://www.news.com.au/heraldsun/sport/afl...8-19742,00.html What a load of the proverbial. Never let the facts get in the way of making your point eh Damien? Has, and will always be a hack journo. I'm sure I don't have to highlight FACTS of why this hack is comletely off the mark
  12. god that was good to see! millers actions on the footy matching his frame and his push and shove.
  13. from where i sat, he was single handedly keeping them in the match. and came relatively close to winning it for them.... brad miller you star.....loved the tough stuff! more importantly love your game. stood up today and played like a man wonna you star! bruce....absolutely fantastic....vocal....lead by example...could captain my club permanently if this is how he consistently goes about his footy and plenty of others i cant be bothered mentioning. one of my big philisophies in footy is that you need to make each individual player from the opposition feel like they are playing directly against 18 blokes, not just his own opponent. i saw this for half the day today.
  14. hopefully us supporters wont be doing a mark williams. especially since we dont have much to show for yet. and when we do, hopefully we dont then either.
  15. that was my thought to. a monday paper ill actually enjoy reading for once!
  16. Agreed. Showed some savvy. Savvy that actually contributed to the cause.
  17. Well done to all those that came down! I have great pride in the team, the supporters and the club today. GO DEES!
  18. The question then becomes, why did we draft him? For the record, I have much respect for Moloney. He seems to put in more yards that a lot of the others.
