God, now people expect robots to be emotionless robots

I feel sorry for Lin Jong, poor kid, had a cruel run. Also dropped before 16’ finals series from memory and starred at VFL. Has talent
-
Oh great, Ling and Bruce again

Port had 9 x 189+ and 5 x 198+

@Demonland is there any way to mute/permanently ignore threads? Also, when putting posters on ignore and others reply to them, their posts still show in quotes, can this be fixed so we don't see said posters content? TIA

In: Petty, Weid. Out: Vince, T Smith Frees Hannan, Harmes to crumb. Frees Hibberd, J Smith up on flanks.
-
Agree. Petracca, Hunt and Garlett a big let down for the club this year and also the unlucky Lever injury.

You're training reports are by far the best, no one comes close, keep up the good work.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - HARRISON PETTY
SFebes replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
Good luck young fella. If I had to guess, looking at the Frost and Pedersen situations, Petty will get the 3 easier games, Pedersen playing CHB at Casey gets him back up to speed with defence and if Petty doesn't work out then he'll come in to replace him. Frost may as well seek offers now, papers stamped by the looks. -
The issue with recruiting these older players is at the time of trade they may have the speed of the game in check however it can go quickly, see Vince and Lewis and to a lesser extent Jones. I think we can do better, I'd much rather bring in players from successful clubs.

Self planted rumour by Collingwood saying he'll sign with them!

Is it just me or is Cameron Ling the worst commentator going around? No wonder ratings are down. Bruce has lost the plot and every comment is followed by "don't you think" "isn't he" or "aye" - it's cringeworthy. Oh and Rance is getting found out to be the dog and [censored] he is.
-
We can compete, we just can't beat. Until that happens, questions will continue. Close thread

Best of luck Jack, he deserves the best in life not only footy, good things come to those who wait, it's now his time for some luck.

Surely the won’t drop Fritsch, I thought he’d been ok lately and provides 50-70m carry most times and one of our best disposers. If he gets dropped ahead of Vince, J Smith, Tyson or Hannan I’d be shocked.
-
Needs to lose 8kg, if that’s bulk, then he still has to lose it. 96kgs looks to heavy for him onfield, unless he’s carrying an injury which I’m starting to think he might be? May explain his lack of effort, unless he’s of course just a lazy player. His fatness disgusts me too, I wish my fat was like that

Tigers get back Astbury and Prestia, their injury list is now minuscule and unbelievable
-
Gaff and players like him are exactly what we need.

Jeeez..... it’s still a long way to go until Sunday! ?

Can't help but think an article like that will draw attention to himself from other teams, they'll go in for the kill. Just shut up and work hard.

Demons Grand Plan for Yarra Park Training HQ
SFebes replied to Wiseblood's topic in Melbourne Demons
It's actually our game plan, blaze away into 50 at all costs. -
I'm not sure this article will appease some punters. Naturally I don't know what his role is but these stats I find damning: Only laid 6 tackles inside 50 all year (12 games), including 7 games of 0 and 2 tackles i50 in his last 5 games including 4 weeks of 0. He's also only laid 3 tackles i50 in the last 8 weeks with 6 games of 0. Averages 2.6 tackles per game Only 32 tackles so far this season - That's not applying pressure IMO and simply unacceptable. As a forward he's returned 9 goals in 12 games, not good enough. He looks sluggish and unfit, not to mention fumbly and not much composure like his first year. His stats are only slightly better than last year, which isn't too much more than his first year. I think he has finally had the wake up call and light bulb moment that AFL footy isnt as easy as he thought, I expect a big pre-season coming this year. Petracca and Garlett have been the busts of the year for me along with Hunt.
