  1. That works out at about $10000 per possession!!
  2. How’s this? Tom Lynch to join exodus from Tigers. Has requested trade to Demons.
  3. Exactly - it is nonsense to think coaches have to have played a position to be able to coach it. Fagan never even played AFL and he does alright!
  4. We obviously now have a no DH policy!
  5. Mmm dunno about that. He coached the Lions for 3 seasons and won 14 of 66 games. He is well regarded as an assistant coach but it is so hard to assess assistants' ability as a senior coach. A lot of people on here wanted Goodwin fired and Yze installed, yet look at Richmond. They are a rabble now, with no apparent game plan.
  6. another fun fact is their numbers totalled 53 (25+28)
  7. I don't know whether Gutnick has any money in his own name. I seem to recall he was made bankrupt and declared his only assets were the family home and a small bank account. I think his diamond company was insolvent too. That may have all changed now, although he has been banned from being a company director as well. Agree - Brad, walk away and block his number!
  8. He knows nothing about football, or good business governance. It is bizarre why he is in this conversation, or worse, even being listened to.
  9. Thanks, I am not as across the inner workings as you are, but I wouldn't have thought burning the boats and starting again is the best option. Who would you reckon we could replace him with?
  10. I don't disagree about Neale, I thought he was a fine coach. However as you say Balme was a great manager of people, which I reckon is one of the coach's main functions. I agree too that 1994 team have gone further after thrashing Carlton and Footscray we lost in Perth to the eventual premiers.
  11. Why would anyone listen to Joe? He fired Neil Balme who went on to have a brilliant career overseeing multiple flags for multiple clubs (not as coach tho). Joe went on as thoroughly discredited businessman. He knows nothing about football. It is bewildering that Brad Green agreed to meet with him.
  12. After Collingwood's latest blow up where are all the media comments about their 'culture'?
  13. Exactly - but it's more like Yes Minister than Monty: never have an inquiry where you don't know the the result beforehand
