I feel like making a gif of every Oliver possession, he's a magician.

When will Neville Jetta get his due recognition? He's pretty much a mini-Rance for us, with better disposal.

    Max brilliant again.

Not his best game but how many players can kick goals from that pocket? Watts made it look easy.

Hogan has probably shot himself in the foot with the stalled contract negotiations. His value was higher last year. Bad luck buddy.

Jetta is the man down back. played a brilliant game

If this can be summed up in one word, it would be this: vindication.

Paul Roos, my thanks to you.

when you watch the replay. late in the last quarter they show a shot of him where I reckon he was close to tears.

today he and PJ achieved what they set out to do.

I feel so indebted to those two and the likes of Jonesy Watts and Jetta for sticking through the dark years.

    we've transformed

We tired in the last 5 minutes, but gee we've played some bloody exciting football so far.  We are taking it right up to them and showing what a bright future we truly have.

Let's hope we can keep it up in the second half now!

the Hawks jogged off and we walked.

we'll need to make the most of every forward entry.

geez I hope we beat them by under a goal and someone smashes Ceglar big time

I am a great believer that if you have been playing footy since a kid, then you 'should' know how to kick a goal, no amount of practice will replace trying to kick a goal in a game, with the tiredness, the crowd, the perceived pressure

that's like being a guitarist and only playing the guitar once a week when you're on stage in front of a big crowd.

yes it's different for sure on match day. but you play that instrument every day until you don't even have to think about it.

there's a great saying I heard from a jazz musician once.

don't practice for a day.. you'll know it.

don't practice for two days.. the band knows it

don't practice for three days.. the whole world knows it.

I reckon sport is no different. preparation is everything.

    Spencer does not kick goals

neither does Watts while he's rucking.

time to leave Watts forward and rotate the two rucks with Gawn moving forward at times.

Oliver could come in too if someone doesn't recover.

We played better football all day.

The missed shots were the issue as the score shows.

The umpiring in that last quarter needs a review by the AFL.

The meth coast just raise their arms when they want a free.we never do.

I am trying to be philosophical about this one but I don't think we could have played much better.

The one against Gawn, the deliberate, the 70 metre 50.the high one against Jones were not there to pay- they were crowd kicks.

I just hope that when we become dominant we never forget the sort of extra crap we had to do to get there.i want us to crush this scum next time.

Take your mine pit and form your own parochial shyte nation you rednecked backwards inbred westralian pigs.

Kent got cleaned up after kicking the ball in to our 50 as well in the last. should have been down field free.

we blew it in the 3rd with our kicking.

the umps put us to the sword in the last.

we played some breathtaking footy today at times and really applied some fantastic pressure for most of the game.

it was a great game of footy. fmd

We all hope it is but he needs a body of work. 1 goal from his 4 matches this year, too late for mine. I'd like to see Spencer given a game, actually make that 6.

it makes sense to get some games into Spencer. if Gawn was to get injured in the early part of next season, you'd want spencil ready to go.

With 7 rounds left, four Demons (Hogan, Watts, Kent, Garlett) have already kicked 20+ goals, first time since 2011 (Jurrah, Green, Sylvia, Watts) thats happened.

If Kent and Garlett can get to 30, it will be the first time since 2006 (Robbo, Davey, Yze, Neitz) Melbourne has four players kick 30+ goals in the same season.

Not many people mentioned Kent in this thread but I think he took another big step forward in that game. we'really pulling together a really potent forward line.
