  1. It's an extra long drive back from Geelong when we used to lose. I was never brave enough to go to Vic park. At the age of 12 ( I cant believe even before that age then how much freedom to wonder, I had. ...my parents were irresponsible but it was great) my mate a crazy tigers fan wanted me to go with him but we chickened out.
  2. Yep its incredible what people paid for.
  3. Probably because he can wear it if he wants to.
  4. Thanks T RaB Got to this too late but like it would have made any difference.
  5. I'm going back a few years and tipping my hand re my age but one of my earlier memories of footy was wearing number 2 on my duffle coat. Ah yes the height of fashion...the duffle coat. The Vfl was a fascinating time with our different grounds and the parochialism. It wasn't fun visiting another ground. I also miss state of origin. Cigarettes adds on the fences and mud covered toilets at Moorabbin. The wind at Arden street. The tram and two bus trips to get to Waverly. Floor is open for reminiscing about the good old days......
  6. Same here. Punchline up there with " around the grounds"
  7. Twas the perfect year including a win over the eagles on their home turf, a win over power the same and the incredible comeback at kardinia which probably stuck in the cats minds for the prelim.
  8. Cant wait to see this guys trajectory continue.
  9. Thanks for the post Dante. Your honesty is refreshing. The thing I like about Bbb at present is he seems to have added another dimension to his game. He has always been a lead into space forward but this year seems to have come into his own as a player taking pack Mark's or contesting and getting the ball to ground for our many crumbles. But even as his old self at Norf, to kick that many goals and be discarded after one poor season was just wrong imho. But thanks norf.
  10. Still cant fathom Norf letting Bbb go. I hope he has a great pre season and plays a full season. He still has several seasons left in him and if he topped the h and a goal tally for 3 years in a low team he could do much more with us.
  11. Yea it's a valid point. I'm sure once you've won a flag that number is cemented for good.
  12. We changed our forward structure considerably around the Queens Birthday round. After some fine tuning even with Tmacs dip in form it really started to fire up. I dont think its unreasonable to expect it to keep improving and this year we will see some even bigger scores by us.
  13. Did you tell them Max sends his best? I used to get worried about hawkins when we played them. They must have nightmares about Gawnie.
  14. I'm so glad we won the flag last year instead of the year previous. We had no real severe disruptions ie 30 games in 30 days....shorter quarters, postponed matches etc. All 2021 had was sometimes no crowds....different venues and a killer Dees team. Our flag cannot be questioned.
  15. Yea same here. They have suffered like us. I think a lot of people were happy for us to win a flag but I reckon that will all change this year.
  16. I really cant wait for round one.
  17. Our recruiting has been fantastic and we are reaping the rewards.
  18. In 2018 I was very, very tempted to tie my beloved Dees scarf around Clarkson's fence( he lived opposite my parent's place) but didnt want to not get it back. It was funny to see him mowing his lawns a week after we kicked hawks out of the finals.
  19. Has any team won a granny with as many young players as us? It is unusual.
  20. I loved the blank stare on all the doggies supporters. That one bald bloke ( can i say that) shaking his head in disbelief....been there...done that.
  21. I wont let the side down re page numbers... We may have won the free count but gee dogs got some easy ones. But nothing could stop us.
