I also remember the good old days of collecting bottles to return to the milk bar. Coke, Leeds and Fanta. I lived in St Kilda and there were lots to get. I stacked all my bottles down the side of the house waiting until I had achieved a certain fiscal outcome. Then one day the price of return went from 10 to 20 cents overnight. My portfolio had doubled in a heartbeat. Oh happy days.
