  1. Those goal umpires love their moments in the sun.
  2. It's a pretty good number of you consider the current cost of living. And the crowd looked mostly Mfc supporters on TV.
  3. If your talking about Kozzie then your right......there were a couple of times he leaped really high against two tall defenders and stopped them from marking.
  4. Just watched the replay. Oliver was immense.
  5. Cheers mate. Love your name.
  6. With Tommo, Disco and Bowie out, we have plenty of depth too.
  7. As hard as it was to wait for the season to start, this is a bad idea. It's basically a winter sport ( or close to) and the Afls want people to play on the cusp of Feb/ Mar. The humidity in the Swans game was real. Throw in changing seasons and it starts to become silly playing so early in the year. Especially in WA and Qld.
  8. Cheers Brownie. I was wondering about JV. He started in his usual fashion but seemed quiet for him in the second. Was he playing a tagging role? A very satisfying win with the added bonus of Bbb, Tmac and Oliver playing very good ones. Oliver was equal bog with May for me.
  9. You look at Kozzies stats and you wonder if he was any good. They're not outstanding in terms of 11 disposals. But he was one of our best in many ways. He applies relentless pressure with his running and chasing and tackling ( five). And a couple of goals didn't hurt. One of our hardest working players. Probably a fifty fifty split in the fwd/middle at most. Depending on the day, I lean to having him fwd more than the middle.
  10. Yep. I'll put my hand up for being upset Tmac got the nod but he played very well.
  11. If Bbb's form continues, would there be room enough to play Petty, Bbb and Jvr all at the same time? Tx gents.
  12. How nice to have a replay you want to watch. And how good that we have 3 players who did very well when we thought they may not play at all this year. It's been said by not a few that anything we get from Bbb and Tmac is a bonus. Well yesterday was our reward day for sure.
  13. Definitely need another win here. I personally don't rate Hawthorn and we have two horrible games in Adelaide coming up Both against Adelaide based clubs. Ot had to be us. Grrrr. Probably part of some nonsense deal to get us out of Kardinia since the Korean war.
  14. No change for me please. Sparrow didn't fire but did anyone else shine enough at Casey to replace him? He's a big body that is hard to match up on.
  15. No was just genuinely interested. Thanks RiF.
  16. Dogs are a good side. But I think that we can all agree that the Swans are very good. Especially at home. It was a good win in sweltering conditions. With some key players back in form. I'm excited enough.
  17. He was. I do find it interesting that he takes a while to fire up.
  18. Perhaps you could wander down to the good news thread.
  19. Is there a chance Bbb will get back to his old form or are his injuries too inhibiting? Not saying he should be dropped but who is Sparrows most likely replacement?
  20. Disagree strongly. Many of her questions were legitimate ones about footy. But without crossing this sites guidelines , I can't align with the notion that players have to talk about personal health issues
