  1. Is it just me but does anyone else feel we are a better chance at the G than ethiad. So why are we not? Is it the afl or culbs fault? Do we get more $ for playing at ethiad? Surely it should be all about winning or am I being naive?
  2. I appreciate the commitment and support by fans but people imo are excused form going to a home game at ethiad. Given that st kildas home game against melbourne in the next coulple of months isnt at the mcg (yes its at ethiad again) supporters should feel a little taken advantage of. If I could get there today I would despite the inequality as I dearly want the dees to win. So thank you to all the people that do turn up and reveal their passion. No thanks to those responsible for playing another of our HOME games not at home.
  3. With regards to deliberate out of bounds, it should be null and void if more than twenty five metres or so. This will eliminate mistakes and help out defenders. When the ball is kicked out of defence by a player being tackled he needs to have some chance.
  4. I wonder if injuries can make a player better. Sounds funny I know but perhaps they can make a player more determined and hungry. Petracca has had a rough trot as had Trengrove and I hope he has an awesome debut.
  5. Hes pretty awesome to watch when he has a goal in front of him and the race is on between him and some smuck. Most have no chance of catching him. Makes me laugh. Yes he is a finisher with precision kicking and slick handballs.
  6. He is up there with the best of them. Super fast, quick thinking and will only get better.
  7. Despite the odds, St Kilda will go into this game thinking they will win. They clearly have it over us and despite our win at Ethiad last year our record is flimsy there to say the least. However our boys are going in with 2 wins behind them and a solid game against Norf when the umpires stuffed it up. This is a confident Demons side and rightfully so. Lets hope the saints underestimate us at their peril. Should beinteresting but I think we will get across the line. Would love to see us win with a big big score for once. That would really get us up and about.
  8. Its a good question. In my humble opinion barring injuries, Dawes will be lucky to take his spot again. Pederson has stepped up and while I think he needs to kick more goals, he is a player that takes a strong grab and can be played in defence. He has been involved in many goal assists. Dawes has cost us a lot of $ and I don't believe he warrants it anymore.
  9. I say they will leave it open while saints supporters dance for rain.
  10. This team is different to the one of last year. Many of the players may still be the same but their intensity levels have changed. I don't condone violence but I commend mateship. (ie Vineys effort) The tigers tried it on at the end of the first quarter and we gave it back with interest. Our tackling is harder and they stick. I think we used to be perceived by other clubs as soft. Not any more.
  11. Given how we have been able to finish all of our games this year bar one,I give the fitness staff a big wrap.
  12. It was a big mistake not include him against essendon.
  13. I think the omission of Oliver shows that we have been building up a strong stock of mids and as such there is now much competition for them.
  14. Sad that Gus and Oliver are not playing but the good news is we have genuine competition for spots now.
  15. I understand what you are saying bit the other side of the coin says that maybe this club is due for another r flower, barassi or ablett type. Go Cp5.
  16. I have a feeling hogan is due to kick a bag soon. Hope its against the saints. Brayshaw has been struggling but I love watching him play. He is total class.
  17. That chap wasnt happy with the out of bounds rule either. Or at least the umps application. I think I was doing the same thing at home. The poor kids leave me alone.
  18. Not sure why you quoted me. When I said I rate him, I was using it as an idiom of "I think he is good." I thought Id say that much because a few seemed to be putting poor Dunn down.
  19. It was a wek act that he has totally owned. He could have said nothing. Afl is a bloody tough ans demanding game. Players stuff up. Move on people and to those knocking his metaphysical beliefs, let the guy believe in whatever he likes.
  20. I rate him. In any case not one poster here can deny his need come the all in brawl.
  21. Lets not forget this guy is only 20 years young. He is getting better with each game. IMO he will be a champion.
