The top five teams you despise.
Not a fan either. But what gives? Is it from the 2000 GF?

Jake Melksham returning
The writing is clearly on the wall for he and Schacke.

Jake Melksham returning
Big call bringing him in so soon but we could certainly use his skills and experience. Go Jakey.

The top five teams you despise.
For me in order of disdain it's 1. Cwood 2. Carlton. 3. Geelong. 4. Essendon. 5. Hawthorn. ( Eagles and port just missed out).

NON-MFC: Round 17
Why do Carlton get such a great run with the umpires?
-
Trade Targets
Hopefully we can get it right. Hunter, Billings and McAdam hasn't really worked out.

NON-MFC: Round 17
Cfc supporters really are complete scum. Their constant booing is reprehensible. I hope they never win another flag.

Welcome to Demonland Matthew Jefferson
Blimey, a well reasoned argument on Demonland. What's going on?

Too Predictable
I wouldn't describe Fritta's overated. In fact I'd say the opposite. He is having a bad year by his standards....or rather the last six weeks he's in a slump. The lack of fwd synergy and connection has definitely worked against him. As has the mid field not having its best season I'll give you the Petty experience. And despite some recent signs of improvement ( which revealed how desperately we need a consistent chf connection) he's still failed. Last game his marking was excellent but his goal kicking atrocious. And Chandler too you are correct. He has shown a great deal of promise at times but his tackling aside is definitely inconsistent. Turner gets a pass as he's still just starting. But all in all,I'm not sure I can agree with the claim other clubs have worked us out because I'm pretty sure we don't exactly know at times what our plans are.😄

Standard of Umpiring
I don't mind watching some teams on the wrong end of umps calls. But it is getting more noticeable.

Standard of Umpiring
Hey PaulRB but their already robotically programmed to reward certain players( we know who they are) and penalise others. Certainly deaf to any criticism.

Standard of Umpiring
I know there is no conspiracy involved with umpires but sometimes one would be excused for believing there is. The bias for teams playing at their home ground especially interstate ones or Geelong is often very clear. I put this down to umpires being swayed by the crowd noise. It unfortunately happens and I put it in the bag of swings and roundabouts. Unless its a few points in it and the umpires stuff up and determine a game from a silly call. It happens too and I feel quite a bit the last few years. Not necessarily against us. All that aside the annoying thing in recent years , especially this one is the blatant inconsistent calls and often in a game. An example of this is HTB. We have seen umpires be on this way too harshly at times. The Afl even announced they would be enforcing it strongly in an attempt I guess to see the game flow more quickly. All fine and good. And thanks for the warning. Except that they have been all over the shop on this from week to week. And trying to take off my Dees beenie, I feel like we have been on the wrong end of these calls. Even worse I think we have all watched games where the umpires have been very inconsistent in a single game. I've watched a few where the maggots.... um.... I mean professional referees have come out red hot when a Dees player has had the ball for two seconds when tackled and bang your caught son. In the second halves of not a few of these games they have almost stopped enforcing the rule and this does my head in. I've seen a lot of games where opposite sides have been rewarded for their tackling efforts and ours not so. I can't imagine how frustrated the players feel and I think they have done well to restrain themselves and not give away frees for abuse. I know I give away at least a dozen frees in my living room for this offense.😀 I know that it's a tough gig and the Afls makes it harder with their directives. But just try and be a little more consistent that's all I ask.

POSTGAME: Rd 16 vs Brisbane
I'm sure you could ( that's nothing to be proud of) but unlike you out of respect for others here this will be my final post on the matter. All I did was point out that you literally often call other people's posts as rubbish. Especially after a loss. You then called me sensitive for pointing this out when my intention was to point out that it's a little bit on the repetitive side. So it wasn't a stretch to suggest that maybe that you had to respond as you being sensitive. It Wasn't about me but more about respect to others on this site. The very fact that you can say you can keep bickering non stop hear speaks volumes about you. Again ...a fact. You just said it. I won't. Besides you are a tad sensitive. That's not a dig. We all our to a degree. It's just maybe you should consider it before you call others out for it Anyway as promised that's it from me. Have a good weekend.

Harrison Petty
It's a process. It's clearly a mind thing for Petty. His confidence seems to be slowly returning and eventually after more strong games of contested marking he will start taking advantage of his opportunities and slot them. I feel like he may have a couple more very average games but that he's turned the corner. Hopefully.

POSTGAME: Rd 16 vs Brisbane
Yep as a few of us have thought. Plays the odd quiet game but he is steadily improving and will get stronger each year. Even in his quieter games you still get the impression he gives his absolute best. Won't be long until we see him kick a few big bags. Hopefully next week at the Eagles. Last night gave me a great deal of hope to see some young players step up. Not so much about this season but next year. We just need to import a couple of big fwds and some more midfield talent and we will be back on track. The backbone of talent and experience is still strong.
