  1. Not that I can remember. Preuss out is good. Spargo proved he can play but hes not consistent. Welcome back Jetta. Melksham is the new Omac. He could run over everyones dog and still get a game?
  2. I was one of the posters that called for Preuss to be included up frwd a few weeks ago given that tmac was not working. I was told by a few that this was a bad call. Happy when they did choose him so I could bathe in a haughty atttitude. I was wrong. So very wrong.
  3. I would remove melksham fro this list.
  4. Kent having a big impact. Not.
  5. Umps are shocking.
  6. Its why I gave up betting.
  7. Not as skilled as his dad.
  8. Their welcome to have him. Hope he plays some more footy. Probably best as a defender. Just not at Mfc.
  9. I noticed that most of havent been too hard on the umpiring of the dockers game. This is probably due to shock and anger. We feel (rightly )that we would lose any finals regardless. Nonetheless under good umpiring we would have won that game. In wet windy condtions in a low scoring game dodgy free kick differentials have a big impact. I base this on my half baked, double bourban , bald brained theory that 2.567 free kicks are worth 7.543 points. This takes into account the reciprical number of where they were paid added to the number they simply dont multiplied by 1 factorial of 50m penalties. All that aside I really do think the umpiring was atrocious. Sometimes it seems that these blokes just go through a period in their thick heads where they will just penalize a side come what may. That first quarter and half of the 2nd seemed like one such time. Yea yea, all supporters feel jibbed but in this case there were a heap of clangers made by these professionals and the level of consistency was woeful. And yea its the last refuge of the disgruntled supporter but in watching other non Dee's games this year I feel that many of these umps suffer from adhd. Booooooooooo.
  10. This is pretty good. I would certainly argue that Melksham should be traded and if we have to keep avb he should play at chf. It looks like a very strong team.
  11. One of the few positives for the year. Very exciting young prospect. Also think Rivers is one to watch as well. The club did well in getting these blokes as well as getting the 24 olds Langdons and Lockhart. Not much love for Pickett of late but he is young. Seems to have incredible pace and hes not afraid to put his body on the line. I think he will become a very good player. Tomlison seems to play better when defending. I wish we had seen more of Marty Hore this year. So there are some very good newcomers mixed in with the perennial fillers. I dont mean to sound harsh but blokes like Anb and omac that never really shine and play good games consistently are examples of those. Actually I think there are quite a few and the club could probably unload almost a dozen. Tmac is interesting because unlike blokes like wagner he was a genuine great player. Alas that was 2 years ago so the jury is pretty much in on him. If we can manage to pick up another 5 very good players we will do well. I do think we need to buy some already proven ones especially a full forward and maybe a crumber type. Up forward I believe we should replace Hannan and Melksham but keep Fritta. Lever needs to get back to the form he had at adelaide which is why he was picked.
  12. I only mentioned Lockahart in response to another posters changes because I dont want Hannan or anb. If Jetta comes in then I thought it was an option. I definately want Lochart in.
  13. What about Lockhart up forward? Not Hannan.
  14. Agreed on Hannan. Time to go.
  15. I honestly dont know how you do it. I do appreciate the positivity I think this site would implode without some optimism.
  16. And so the Melbourne players all make a collective sigh of relief. Goodwin gets another 2 years.
  17. Can we renogiate Lever's salary. His last 2 seasons at Adelaide he averaged close to 6 marks and 16 disposals a game. This year in 15 games for us that has dropped to just under 10 disposals and 4 marks. His tackle count has gone down as well. I suppose May has been doing the most of the work. I recall that game in Nt where he had a ripper but that hasmt been the norm. I know he does a lot of spoiling but is supposed to be the bloke taking hold and springing from the backline and setting up our mids. Hasnt happened.
  18. I wasnt wearing my lucky jumper either.
  19. Not Luke Darcy. Blokes a goose.
  20. Thanks. Must of been very humid.
  21. I wonder if they trained too hard bw games.
  22. I wish I was at the ground so as to get a bigger picture. So many times when the ball was kicked long, when the camera zoomed in there were 3 or4 dockers players descending on the ball and we were nowhere to be seen. It looked like we had half the number of blokes. Where were they? Just dont get why we were so slow. Even our tackles were usually broken. When we finall got the bsll it was handpassed to someone next to them. Very strange. This team. My goodness.
  23. Spot on. Perhaps when his body catches up to his mind, he will be a star. One thing for sure he's bloody quick. He is also quite brave.
  24. Akways had the feeling Trac really cares about the club and his fellow players. Not just in it for tbe $.
  25. Prior to the start of the season Weid was still an unknown commodity in my book. True he had a couple of good games in our previous finals campaign but had not broken out. Tmac was woeful last year and I guees they were banking on him to recapture his previous form. Thats a big gamble. Jackson turned out to be very good but he is young and inexperienced and then got injured. So in effect , disregarding Jackson, the club said okay then, we have two tall frwds. They must have had a crystal ball telling them that tmac was going to return to his old self and weid will get better. Well Weid did get better but he is not at a Coleman level yet by a fair way. Hogan and Garlett left and the club wasnt too concerned about replacing them. How did the club that spent a fortune on the backline forget we need to score goals as well?
